The fee will be $58.50 plus applicable taxes. b) The non-member participation fee is paid any year a title is earned and covers all titles and dogs owned by that dividual. c) In order for the title to be awarded, the non-member will have a choice to either become a CKC member or pay the non-member participation fee. Failure to comply with 30 days of notification will result the title beg withheld. d) The fee applies only to dogs wholly owned by nonmember residents of Canada and is not applicable to CKC members Eligibility: Only purebred Afghan Hounds, Basenji, Borzoi, Greyhounds, Ibizan Hounds, Irish Wolfhounds, Italian Greyhounds, Pharaoh Hounds, Salukis, Scottish Deerhounds and Whippets may be entered. All dogs must be one year of age or older on the day of the trial. Dogs not registered with the CKC must pay $9.50 Listg Fee per dog/per day until CKC registration is obtaed. Altered and neutered hounds may compete. DOGS PRESENTLY DISQUALIFIED IN CANADA OR THE US ARE NOT ELIGIBLE!
Equipment: A contuous loop mache with white and/or coloured plastic streamers will be used. Back up equipment will be on site. Conditions: s will be split any breed that has more than 24 dogs entered at the time of the draw. All dogs will run twice braces or trios unless excused, dismissed or disqualified. Bitches season or lame hounds will be excused, and any entry refunded if notice is given prior to roll call. Hounds not present at roll call will be scratched and entry fees not refunded. Handlers must use slip leads when startg their hounds. Muzzles may be used at owner s discretion. All hounds will be slipped from a standg start Judges: A judge officiatg at a field trial under these rules and regulations (CKC) shall not be subject to dignities of any kd durg the progress of the field trial. It shall be the duty and obligation of the club holdg the field trial to see that this regulation is effectively carried out. The Field Trial Chairman shall promptly report to the Canadian Kennel Club any frgement of this regulation, and the Disciple Committee shall have the power to take such action as it deems fit on receipt of a report dicatg that this regulation has been violated. Course Plans: These plans are approximate and will be modified to suit the field conditions on the day. Course will be reversed for fals Run Offs and Best Field will be run the direction the judges choose. Saturday - 820 Yards Sunday 800 yards IMPORTANT INFORMATION: You need an up to date rabies certificate dated not less than 30 days but not more than three years to cross the border. You need a passport for each dividual your vehicle order to return to the United States Our bank will not accept cheques marked Payable Canadian Funds. We suggest sendg an American cheque and replacg it on the day of the trial with Cash. BCO appreciates everyone s co-operation keepg our site clean. There will be a $5 fe for anyone caught not cleang up after your hound. There will also be a $5 fe for any loose dog terferg with a course progress. Flexi Leads and Electronic Collars are not permitted on the field. Practices will be held on Saturday after ribbons and Certification Runs TIME and WEATHER PERMITTING. Sighthounds will be given preference for practices [i.e. sighthounds will run before any other breed] KOA Field is not fenced but there is a 6+ foot deep ditch entire length of frontage. Motorhomes & trailers are not allowed to park on field. Please arrange for early check-. Participants to use the porta-potty on the field. The washroom facility at the KOA office is for use by KOA campers only. DIRECTIONS FROM TORONTO: HWY 400 North to HWY 89 Exit Take the HWY-89/SIMCOE ROAD 89 exit, EXIT 75, toward COOKSTOWN/ALLISTON Stay STRAIGHT to go onto REIVE BLVD.
FIELD INFORMATION The Toronto North/Cookstown KOA: is located 40 mutes North of Toronto on Highway 400 at the Highway 89 exit. This venue offers lots of amenities. Please visit the KOA website s for further formation at: http://koa.com/campgrounds/toronto-north/ There are various options for accommodations at the campground. These are as follows: Tent Site, Water/Electricity, Full, 1 Room Cab (Sleeps up to 4), 2 Room Cab (Sleeps up to 6), Studio Lodge (Sleeps 4), Campg Delux Lodge (Sleeps 6). Please contact the KOA for current pricg. Dogs are permitted the Cabs and Lodges, however, are not allowed on the beds. The KOA Kafe offers pizza, wgs, fries, etc., plus beverages. McDonald s is located on the West side of Highway 400. There are other food establishments at the Cookstown Outlet Mall on the South side of Highway 89. Tim Horton s is located one exit North on Highway 400. The Innisfil Creek Golf Club is located on the next property to the North. Please visit their website at http://www.nisfilcreekgolf.com/. Georgian Downs (Standardbred race track with slots) is located on exit North on Highway 400. Website: http://www.georgiandowns.com/. Walmart, Costco, Sobeys, etc. are located two exits North on Highway 400. As with any location, there are positives and negatives. Highway 400 is visible from the field. While the frontage of the park is not fenced there is a 6+ (six) foot deep ditch runng the entire length of the frontage. This ditch has been allowed to go natural and by that I mean, it is filled with shrubs, bushes, trees and weeds and at the bottom of the ditch there is a stream. If a dog happened to get through the ditch there is livestock fencg between Reive Blvd. and Highway 400. The KOA also does not allow motorhomes and travel trailers to park on the field. So, if you are brgg a motorhome/travel trailer, you must check prior to the trial. If the site has not been previously booked Friday night the park will make an exception and check you at 9 a.m. Please make these arrangements ahead of time and directly with the KOA. Options available (1) you can check- Friday night or (2) book either a Cab or Lodge and leave the motorhome/trailer at home. Hotel Accommodations Holiday Inn at Highway 400 & Essa Road, 705-728-6191. No extra charge for dogs. Let them know you have dogs and they will try and put you on the ma floor. There is a Timmy's, Wendy's & Pizza Hut right there. Zehrs is across the road. This is 3 exits North of the KOA. Super 8 at Highway 400 & Bryne Drive (441 Bryne Drive) 705-814- 8888. There is a $15 extra charge for dogs. This is 2 exits North of the KOA. There is everythg there - Wal-mart, Sobey's, Timmy's, lots of food places, Cnd Tire. Only thg is I don't know how much grass is around. This is a very commercial area. Barrie is 15 mute drive North on Highway 400.
