Crowley, Secretary SPECIAL ATTRACTION AKC Sanctioned 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy Competition Event No. 2014438603 Judge: Mrs. Eddy Golt Entry Fee: $12.00 (including AKC recording fee of $2.00 for each dog. These fees are paid to the American Kennel Club). Judging will be Friday, March 7, 2014, prior to Specialty Classes The American Kennel Cub has designed the Beginner Puppy Special Attraction to be an opportunity for puppies to interact with people and other dogs under a puppy friendly judge and show ring. New pure-bred puppy owners are encouraged to enter to explore competing in AKC events. One combined class will be offered for dogs that are (4) four months & under (6) six months as described in Chapter 3, Section 1 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows. There will be a selection of Beginner Puppy Best of Breed and Beginner Puppy Best of Opposite Sex. An AKC registration number or AKC litter number will be required for entry. A foreign born dog may enter this class if they are registered in the country of origin. Dogs are required to be vaccinated (including rabies) in accordance with their veterinarian s protocol in order to avoid inadvertent transmission of illness by/to puppies not yet fully immunized. Dogs that are owned or co-owned by a professional handler may compete in this class, BUT must be handled by a non-professional handler. Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay. Dogs may not be exhibited by current assistants and household members of a professional handler. AKC Rules in Dealing with Misconduct will be applicable to any person and dog entered at this competition. All applicable rules found in Rules Applying to Dog Shows will govern the conduct of this competition unless these regulations state otherwise. Exhibitors should plan on opening the mouth of their puppy for the judge. Breed standard disqualifications such as color, height, weight or dentition shall not be a point of consideration in the judging process for this 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy in Show Competition. 4 & UNDER 6 MONTHS RIBBON PRIZES WILL BE AS FOLLOWS Beginner Puppy Best of Breed... Orange Beginner Puppy Best of Opposite Sex... Lavender Each participant will receive a dog toy (There will be no placements in the 4-6 Month Puppy Competition)

PUPPY SWEEPSTAKES Judge: Mrs. Jane Dyar PUPPY SWEEPSTAKES REQUIREMENTS & IFICATION The Sweepstakes is open to all Rottweilers, who are 6 months and under 18 months of age on the day of the show. All dogs entered in Sweepstakes must also be entered in a Regular Class. Sweepstakes will be judged prior to the Regular Classes. Indicate Sweepstakes and age division on the regular entry form under Additional Classes. The following classes will be provided for both dogs & bitches. Puppy, 6 Months & Under 9 Months Junior, 12 Months & Under 15 Months Puppy, 9 Months & Under 12 Months Junior, 15 Months & Under 18 Months DIVISION OF PRIZE MONEY 35% of the Sweepstakes entry fees will be retained by the club for expenses. The remaining 65% of the Sweepstakes entry fees will be divided equally between Best in Sweepstakes and Best of Opposite Sex to Best in Sweepstakes. VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES Judge: Mrs. Jane Dyar VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES REQUIREMENTS & IFICATION The Veteran Sweepstakes is open to all Rottweilers who are at least 7 years of age on the day of the show. Veteran Sweepstakes will be judged prior to Regular Classes. Veteran Sweepstakes entrants do not need to be entered in a Regular Class. Neutered dogs and spayed bitches are eligible to enter the Veterans Sweepstakes. Indicate "ʺVeteran Sweepstakes and age division on the regular entry form under Additional Classes. The following classes will be provided for both dogs & bitches. Veteran, 7 Years & Under 9 Years Veteran, 9 Years & Under 11 Years Veteran, 11 Years & Over DIVISION OF PRIZE MONEY 35% of the Veteran Sweepstakes entry fees will be retained by the club for expenses. The remaining 65% of the Veteran Sweepstakes entry fees will be divided equally between Best in Veteran Sweepstakes and Best of Opposite Sex to Best in Veteran Sweepstakes. REGULAR & NON-REGULAR ES (Dogs & Bitches) Judge: Mrs. Eddy Golt Puppy, 6 Months & Under 9 Months Bred-By-Exhibitor Puppy, 9 Months & Under 12 Months American-Bred Twelve to Eighteen Months Open Winners Best of Breed Competition Best of Breed Competition: The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition: dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a Championship but whose Championships are unconfirmed. The showing of dogs whose Championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a Championship according to the owners records. Dogs that complete a championship according to their owners records after the close of entries for this show, but whose championship is unconfirmed, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed Competition, provided this transfer is made at least one half hour before the start of any judging at the show. Grand Champion Competition: The following categories of dogs are entered in this competition: (1) Dogs that are Champions of Record competing in Best of Breed class. (2) Dogs transferred to Best of Breed which according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a championship but whose championships are unconfirmed. (3) Champions that win Non-Regular Classes and become eligible for Best of Breed competition (altered or spayed champion veteran class winners at independent specialties). At the judge s discretion, Grand Championship points may be awarded to: Best of Breed, Best of Opposite, Select Dog, Select Bitch. Grand Champion competition will not continue beyond Best of Breed competition. Winners Dog and Winners Bitch are not eligible for Grand Champion competition. Bred-By-Exhibitor (BBE) Class Eligibility: (1) All dogs entered in the Bred-By Class must be individually registered with the AKC. (2) The person handling the dog must be a breeder of record of the dog and an owner of record of the dog. (3) To exhibit in this class, family members must be a breeder and owner of record. NON-REGULAR ES (Dogs & Bitches) Involving Single Dog or Bitch Entries Veteran, 7 Years & Under 9 Years Veteran, 9 Years & Under 11 Years Veteran, 11 Years & Over For Dogs & Bitches (7-9 yrs), (9-11) & (11 yrs & over). Winners of Veteran Dog and Veteran Bitch Classes are eligible to compete for Best of Breed. Note: Chapter 11, Section 8, AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows provides that castrated males may be entered in the Veteran Dog Class and spayed females may be entered in the Veteran Bitch Class at Independent Specialties. Best Puppy Competition Best Bred-By Competition NON-REGULAR ES (Dogs & Bitches) Involving Multiple Dog Entries Use space for Additional Entry. Note: As the judge s decision in the Non-Regular Classes involving Multiple Dog Entries is based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in these classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won these classes. Note: Chapter 11, Section 8, AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows provides that castrated males may be entered as Stud Dog in the Stud Dog Class and spayed Bitches may be entered as Brood Bitch in the Brood Bitch Classes. Stud Dog Class For Stud Dogs and TWO of his Get. Owner of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be owners of the Get. Get must be entered in a Regular Class in this show. Stud Dog must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with his Get. The merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry. Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the AKC Dog Show rules. Brood Bitch Class Same as for Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get. Only TWO Produce may be shown and they must be entered in a Regular Class in this show. Judge s Awards Of Merit: All dogs eligible for Best of Breed Competition shall be considered for these awards. At the discretion of the intersex judge, the maximum number of Awards of Merit that may be given shall be 10% of the Best of Breed entry, including Winners and Veterans. That 10% is in addition to the Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed winners with no consideration as to sex. Select Dog and Select Bitch are eligible for an Award of Merit. BREED PRIZES BEST OF BREED The BIS/BISS GCH SELECT DUCKS FOR DIDDLE Memorial Challenge Trophy is offered by Diane Voss, DVM. This Challenge Trophy will become the permanent possession of the owner and/or breeder winning it three times, not necessarily with the same dog. It shall remain in the possession of the club until retired. ATTENTION EXHIBITORS & VENDORS The Show Building will be available at 12:00 noon, Friday, March 7, 2014. NO DOGS will be allowed in the building overnight at this show. Dogs must be removed from building immediately following the Specialty Show. All judging and grooming will be indoors in an air-conditioned building. There will be no grooming and crating in show areas or near food concession stands. Grooming indoors in designated areas only. Dog bathing only at DESIGNATED area. No strollers in building. No un-entered dogs will be allowed on the show grounds. Show Chairman or Event Coordinator has authority to change rules for the safety & comfort of dogs and exhibitors. No selling of dogs on show grounds. We expect all exhibitors & handlers to display good sportsmanship. Exhibitors and Handlers will be held responsible for clean conditions in and around their crates & parking spaces, as well as at hotels. Anyone not cleaning after their dogs will be subject to a show committee hearing. The Show Committee, in accordance with AKC Rules & Regulations, will deal with violations in this area. Vehicles parked in restricted zones will be towed at owner s expense. Exhibitors must be governed by any rules or regulations of civil authorities and/or building or location entrance. Please obey all posted signs. *RETURNED CHECKS and INVALID CREDIT CARDS do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Superintendent will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check.
