AMERICAN ROTTWEILER CLUB ARMETALE AWARDS The Rott-Only Course A Sheep Trial on Saturday, April 13, 2013, has been designated as the Armetale Award trial by the American Rottweiler Club. The following awards will be presented: High in Trial: 11 ARC Armetale Plate Reserve High in Trial: 9 ARC Armetale Plate First Prize, each class 7 ARC Armetale Plate Special prize to the Highest Scoring Junior Handler Rottweiler High in Trial offered by Purina ProPlan: A product and/or gift valued at more than $5.00 offered by Pro Plan will be presented to the Rottweiler High in Trial in each of the Rott-Only trials each day. The following Special Awards will be presented at the conclusion of the Trials on Sunday, April 14, 2013: High Combined Rottweiler Framed picture depicting Rottweilers herding, designed by Cathy Modica. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION No un-entered dogs (except set-out dogs) will be allowed at the test/trial site. All dogs present must be held on leash or otherwise restricted except when working stock. Under NO circumstances will dogs be allowed to disturb the resting stock or interfere from outside the arena with another dog s performance in the arena. Any dogs aggressive to persons or stock will be removed. (See Chapter 1, Section 20 of the American Kennel Club Herding Regulations.) Please bring your chairs, shade. etc. Water, soda and lunch will be for sale. All AKC Rules regarding conduct will be strictly enforced. Exhibitors must be governed by any rules or regulations of civil authority, building and parking restrictions. Vehicles parked contrary to regulation will be subject to towing at the owner's expense. All dogs nine months of age or older that are registered with the American Kennel Club and classified as Herding Dogs under Chapter 2 of the Dog Show Rules are eligible to participate in herding tests and trials. Dogs classified as Herding Dogs under Chapter 2 of the Dog Show Rules that have been granted an Indefinite Listing Privilege (ILP) may participate in tests and trials. The club may decline any entries for cause and may refuse to receive or may remove any dog on account of disease, viciousness, or other causes, and no one shall have any claim or recourse against the club or any official thereof. No dog may be entered in two classes in the same trial (e.g., cannot enter both Started and Intermediate in the same trial). Bitches in season shall be eligible and will run at the end of the class in tests, and in catalog order as listed in the class in trials. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for the herding test or trial closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner, it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any herding test or trial for which entries closed after the date of acquisition regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his or her name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to AKC. (for complete rule refer to Chap. 14, Sect 3 of "Rules Applying to Registration and Dog Shows") You may use a single entry form to enter all trials and all classes for each dog. If entering more than one dog use a separate form for each dog. NO LOOSE DOGS! NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS Ø TEST/TRIAL SITE will be available to exhibitors from 7:00 am to 6:00 p.m. each day, or one hour after conclusion of event. Ø ENTRIES CLOSE at the Herding Test/Trial Secretary s office on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at 8:00 p.m., after which time entries cannot be accepted, cancelled, altered or substituted. Ø PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG AND YOURSELF. We ask the cooperation of exhibitors in helping to keep the Test/Trial location as clean as possible in order for us to retain the use of this facility for future Tests/Trials. Ø DOGS MUST WEAR A SIMPLE WELL FITTING BUCKLE, SNAP LOCK OR SLIP COLLAR (no tags), or may work without a collar at trial levels. Ø DOGS NEED TO BE PRESENT for scheduled judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dog in the ring. ALL DOGS MUST BE ON LEAD EXCEPT WHEN BEING JUDGED IN THE ARENA. Ø RETURNED CHECKS do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Trial Secretary will add a $25.00 fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitor may result in their being on a cash only basis. Ø ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT FEES OR SIGNATURE. Entries not on official forms and photocopies of entry forms without the Release Form on the reverse side of the entry form are not acceptable. No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Ø NO REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATED ENTRIES, ERRORS ON ENTRY FORMS. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms and no entry fee will be refunded in the event of such. Ø ENTRY FEES WILL NOT BE REFUNDED in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition by actions of the test/trial committee. Entry fees will not be refunded if the test/trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riot, civil disturbance, fire or act of God, public emergencies, act of public enemy, strike or any other cause beyond the control of the club. ELIGIBILITY/AGREEMENT (SEND WITH ENTRY FORM) All dogs nine months of age or older that are registered with the American Kennel Club and classified as Herding Dogs under Chapter 2 of the Dog Show Rules are eligible to participate in herding tests and trials. Dogs classified as Herding Dogs under Chapter 2 of the Dog Show Rules that have been granted an Indefinite Listing Privilege (ILP) may participate in tests and trials. No dog may be entered in two classes on the same course with the same kind of stock under the same judge at any test/trial. Bitches in season shall be eligible and will run at the end of the class in tests, and in catalog order as listed in the class in trials. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for the herding test or trial closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner, it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any herding test or Trial for which entries closed after the date of acquisition, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his or her name.
