There were 12 members present at the meeting at Spring Creek Barbecue. President Donna Todd reported that Shari Curran has resigned as our Vice-President. We need a President and Vice President for next year. Patti Caldwell has volunteered to be member at large on the board and Janie Jury will replace Linda Miller as treasurer. Linda Miller reported that the WC/WCX made $216.00. The awards ceremony will be on January 22, 2017 at Maggiano s at North Park in Dallas. All members are encouraged to come and celebrate our wonderful dogs. It is required that dinner be purchased in order to attend the awards ceremony this year. In order to secure the room, our club must pay a minimum payment which makes it necessary for members to help support this effort. The next agility trial is 2/24/17 and Shari Degan would appreciate as many volunteers as possible. DFWMGRC is hosting the Western Regional in 2018 at Will Rogers Coliseum on the same weekend as our annual March Specialty. David Brown will be the show chair. Our specialty will be on Thursday, the Western Regional on Friday, and WC/WCX on Saturday. Teresa McKenna reminded everyone to send her the trophy checks for the March Specialty: 1912 Country Meadow, Richardson, TX 75081. Patti Caldwell is chairing the July Specialty. Holiday Party and Membership Meeting December 4, 2016 The meeting was called to order at 7:40 and adjourned around 8:00 pm. There were 22 members present and two guests at the meeting at Terri Thornton s home. This was John Boede s third meeting and he was voted in as a member of the club. John Clark joins us from southern CA attended his first meeting. His wife Laura was not present at this meeting. They live in Keller and have volunteered to with conformation. Their kennel name is Birchollow Golden Retrievers. We need a President and Vice President for next year. Shari has generously offered to match all gains from the agility raffle to go towards the Shine-On Campaign. The club thanks Shari Degan for her continued efforts to support the research and fight cancer in our Goldens. The awards banquet will be January 22nd at Maggiano in Northpark Mall. Shari Degan has worked hard to get new plaques and assimilate the data for winners in each trophy division. Please plan to join the club for dinner and the ceremony. Show Dog Hall of Fame awards cannot be presented to members at the Awards Banquet due to GRCA rules so they will be presented between Sweeps and the Specialty at the clubs March Specialty.
