May 11-13, 2018 It s a BARN HUNT TRIAL! Permission has been granted by the Barn Hunt Association, LLC to hold this trial under BHA Rules and Regulations. Hosted by the Oh Rats! Barn Hunt Club 3 Rings 3 Days - 3 Judges - 6 Trials Dodge County Fairgrounds: WI-33, Beaver Dam, WI 53916 The trial site is the Small Animal building: a covered building with a dirt floor. Tarps will be covering the floor. No heat or AC please dress accordingly. The trial, open to all Breeds and Mixed Breeds, is being held in conjunction with a UKC conformation show and obedience trial. More details available when the judging schedule is sent. Dogs MUST be registered with barn Hunt to participate in this trial. Entries open March 1 and close May 2 (or when limit is reached). Day of entries accepted until trial has reached full capacity of 120 runs per judge per day or 8 hours of judging per judge. Any Judges of Record may judge any class at this event at the discretion of the club under the rule provisions for splitting assignments, load balancing, and relief judging. Judges will be Kim Hott, Brenda Hinkemeyer, and Cathy Hoese. Running order and additional scheduling information will be emailed to all entrants after the trial has closed to determine the most efficient running order for the trial. There will be a lunch break at the committee/judge s discretion. Entry fees: Instinct $10, Novice $15, Open $20, Senior/Master $25, Crazy8 $20 *late fee/day of entry fee adds $5 per dog per run To be valid: All entries must be accompanied by entry fees (cash or check), include the BHA registration number, a completed registration form, and the signed release form. A returned check does not constitute a valid entry and will be issued a $35 fee for all returned checks. No entries will be taken over the phone. If you plan to enter after the closing deadline and/or day of, please email the trial secretary ahead of time as a courtesy. Day of entries must be paid in cash with exact change. Move ups available all weekend: must be made at the secretary table immediately following the qualifying run and handlers are responsible for the difference in entry fees if class is at a higher entry fee. Owners of the dog in season will be crated in a separate area away from traffic and the other dogs. Owners should make this condition known to the Trial Secretary prior to the trial if possible, or by 30 minutes prior to the start of the trial. Awards: Placement ribbons awarded for 1 st through 4 th place in all regular classes (except Instinct) in each height division. Qualifying ribbons will be awarded to those with qualifying scores in all classes. Special awards will be given to those who earn new titles as well as High in Class Awards in regular classes (except Instinct). Crazy8s will receive ribbons, as well as special ribbons for those earning Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum Crazy8s titles. Barn Hunt Rules are available at www.barnhunt.com. Notices to Exhibitors: Dogs may enter both Instinct and Novice in the same trial until the dog has earned the RATN title. Exception: if a dog ears the RATN title during the trial and is preregistered to run Instinct for the remainder of the available trials, it may run. Dogs must be eligible to run a class at the time of entry. ALL DOGS must blind within the confines of the physical structure of the blind. All competitors are responsible for cleaning up after their dog. We reserve the right to ask anyone not following Facility or Barn Hunt Rules to vacate the premises. No refunds given to anyone who does not appear at the trial or is asked to leave. Dogs must be on a short leash and under control while on trial grounds except while showing. AGREEMENT: I (we) acknowledge that if this application for the entry of this dog is made available to me (us) for participation in a Barn Hunt event, that I (we) agree that this facility has the right to refuse the entry of this dog and/or they reserve the right to dismiss the dog and myself for cause which Barn Hunt deems to be sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this and the opportunity to train my dog(s), I (we) agree to hold Barn Hunt Association, LLC, Dodge County Fairgrounds, OhRats! Barn Hunt Club, and all associates harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog or dogs while in or upon the premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for such claim, and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for damage or injury to the dog or myself, either physically or mentally, whether such loss, disappearance, theft, damage or injury, be caused or alleged to be caused by negligence while in or upon the premises of the Barn Hunt grounds.
