REEF SAFE KICK-ICH KICK-ICH is a treatment designed to be used in the display tank for the control of Ich on fish (a.k.a. white spot disease) in marine and freshwater aquaria. It has been scien fically formulated to treat infec ous stage of the ich life cycle while being safe for all fish, corals and invertebrates. KICK-ICH will not affect biofiltra on. Use 2 ounces of KICK-ICH for each 25 gallons of total water volume. THREE STEP TREATMENT PROGRAM STEP 1. Turn off protein skimmer and UV sterilizer. Remove carbon filtra on or any absorbent media. (Phosphate absorbents are okay). STEP 2. Determine the total water volume including filtra on system. STEP 3. Beginning on day 1 add 2 ounces (60 ml) of KICK-ICH for each 25 gallons (95 liters) of water. Repeat on days 4, 7, 10 and 13 WHETHER OR NOT WHITE SPOTS CONTINUE TO BE VISIBLE. (For heavy infec ons repeat on days 3, 5, 7, 10 and 13). Persistent infec ons may require repea ng the cycle. TREATMENT SHOULD CONTINUE FOR AT LEAST TWO WEEKS FROM WHEN THE LAST WHITE SPOT IS VISIBLE. REEF SAFE RALLY RALLY is a very effec ve broad spectrum treatment designed to be used directly in the display tank to eliminate external parasites, dinoflagellates, marine velvet, clownfish disease, gill flukes, etc. on fish. RALLY also treats gram nega ve bacterial infec ons, fin and tail rot, etc., and prevents secondary infec ons. RALLY is safe for all fish (including scaleless), corals and invertebrates and will not affect biofiltra on. Apply RALLY once per day for at least 3 days. Longer treatment periods may be required for heavy or persistent infec ons. THREE STEP TREATMENT PROGRAM STEP 1. Turn off protein skimmer and UV sterilizer. Remove carbon filtra on or any absorbent media. (Phosphate absorbents are okay). STEP 2. Determine the total water volume including filtra on system. STEP 3. FRESHWATER: Add 1 ounce (30 ml) of RALLY per 5 gallons (19 liters) of total water volume. If the ph is above 8.0, add 1 ounce (30 ml) per 10 gallons (38 liters) of total water volume. REEF SAFE KICK-ICH & RALLY FIRST AID KIT IN A BOX A MUST FOR EVERY AQUARIUM DON T LET YOUR CUSTOMERS WAIT UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE. THEY SHOULD HAVE THE COMBO BOX ON HAND AS THEIR FIRST AID KIT TO HELP COMBAT INFECTIONS PROMPTLY For fish to have the greatest chance of recovery, treatment should begin at the first sign of symptoms. Have KICK-ICH and RALLY on hand to treat the problem right away. In many instances it is difficult to remove an infected fish from the aquarium tank. RALLY and KICK-ICH are REEF SAFE and are designed to be used in the aquarium. Diagnosing the infec on can also be difficult. There are a number of organisms that can be mistaken for Ich. Also mul ple issues can be present (i.e., Ich and velvet or Ich and brooklynella). Ich can be triggered by stress or other infec ons. Addi onally, the treatment of secondary infec ons from Ich parasites boring into the flesh of the fish must be addressed. The solu on is the simultaneous use of RALLY and KICK-ICH. Together they solve the problem of misdiagnosis and/or treat mul ple issues at the same me. Trea ng fish at the first sign of symptoms gives the fish the best chance for recovery. KICK-ICH and RALLY are REEF SAFE, will NOT affect biofiltra on and can be used directly in the tank to treat fish. They DO NOT contain copper and are safe for all fish (including scaleless), corals and invertebrates. KICK-ICH and RALLY work well together to eliminate problems of misdiagnosis with FRESHWATER or SALTWATER fish. Used together they achieve the best results and can deal with several problems at one me in addi on to preven ng secondary bacterial infec ons. The two 8 ounce bo les in the Nano Combo Box will not only treat the full regimen for a nano tank up to 20 gallons, but can also be used as a first dose to treat an 80-100 gallon tank. It is an economical way to have KICK-ICH and RALLY on hand to treat at the first sign of symptoms. RALLY FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS KICK-ICH HYDROPLEX 1. WHAT MAKES RUBY REEF PRODUCTS DIFFERENT FROM AND SUPERIOR TO THEIR COMPETITORS? WHY ARE RUBY REEF PROD- UCTS YOUR BEST CHOICE? Kick-Ich and Rally were designed to be an effective yet safe treatment for fresh and saltwater fish to be USED DIRECTLY IN THE TANK to combat various parasitic, bacterial and fungal infections. Both Kick-Ich and Rally are REEF SAFE and contain NO copper or other harmful ingredients and will not harm corals, invertebrates or beneficial bacteria that is needed to maintain a healthy biofiltration. HydroPlex is an extremely broad spectrum treatment for new arrivals. In a simple 10 minute dip, HydroPlex will penetrate the flesh, in and around the gills and eyes effectively removing and cleaning the fish of any and all active parasites, bacteria and fungi it encounters prior to transferring the fish to a quarantine or display tank. HydroPlex can also be used in a hospital tank at reduced strength for a longer duration for situations on fish requiring additional treatment. 2. WHEN USING RALLY AND KICK-ICH, DO I HAVE TO REMOVE MY CARBON FILTRATION AND TURN OFF MY STERILIZER AND SKIMMER FOR THE ENTIRE TREATMENT PERIOD? CAN I DO WATER CHANGES? YES you must remove the carbon filtration or any absorbent media and you need to turn OFF the skimmer and sterilizer during the treatment period so that you are not removing the medications from the tank. You can run the skimmer and do water changes but time your actions to the dosing schedule. If you're treating with both Kick-Ich and Rally (highly recommended) you can (not required) do a water change just before you begin dosing on day 1. Rally is treated on days 1, 2 and 3. Wait till day 7 before doing a water change or running the skimmer. If you are treating at 8 a.m., turn the skimmer on around midnight and run for 6-8 hours. Turn it off, do a water change and dose immediately with Kick-Ich so that you can maintain sufficient medication in the water. Wait until 3 days after the last dose before resuming normal operations of turning on the skimmer, sterilizer and adding the carbon filtration. 3. WHY DO WE RECOMMEND USING KICK-ICH AND RALLY TOGETHER? WHY HAVE THE FIRST AID KIT IN A BOX ON HAND? Using Kick-Ich and Rally together eliminates the chance of misdiagnosis, treat multiple issues at the same time and gives a fish the best chance for recovery. In addition, corals covered in slime algae (both the cyanobacteria and dinoflagelated forms) can be treated with the simultaneous use of Kick-Ich and Rally. Having the First Aid Kit in a Box on hand in your medicine cabinet for your tank, allows you to treat fish at the first sign of symptoms before the problem accelerates. 4. I TREATED WITH KICK-ICH BUT I STILL SEE WHITE SPOTS ON MY FISH. Remember that additional outbreaks can and often do occur while treatment is going on due to the stress in the tank caused by the infection. You must treat for at least 2 weeks after you see the last white spot on any of the fish in order to completely rid the tank of the active ich parasites. Even just one little tomite can start the infection all over again. 5. WHEN USING RALLY MY WATER TURNED YELLOW OR GREEN. The water will turn a greenish yellow while treating with Rally. It is not harmful and will not stain. It will dissipate in a few days as Rally does it's job and biodegrades out of the tank on it's own. 6. DO I HAVE TO DO A WATER CHANGE TO REMOVE KICK-ICH AND RALLY FROM MY TANK? NO. Both Kick-Ich and Rally biodegrade out of the water in 3-4 days which is the reason for the frequent dosing. 7. CAN KICK-ICH AND RALLY BE USED WITH OTHER PRODUCTS OR ANTIBIOTICS? The simultaneous use of Kick-Ich and Rally is recommended. They can be used with phosphate and ammonia absorbents but not with activated charcoal or other chemical absorbents. Use with antibiotics or other medications is NOT recommended. 8. ARE KICK-ICH AND RALLY REEF SAFE? YES. Kick-Ich and Rally contain no copper and are safe for all fish (including scaleless). They will not harm corals, invertebrates or macro-algae as well as the acultative anaerobes and nitrifying bacteria essential to biologic filtration. 9. CAN I ADD HYDROPLEX TO THE BAG CONTAINING MY NEW FISH? NO. HydroPlex Dip is used at a ratio of 1 ounce per quart of water. A premeasured container is the best way to proceed. For example, if using a 1/2 gallon container, at the end of the acclimation, pour the bag of water with the fish into the container. Water from the aquarium can be added to equal 1/2 gallon. Add 2 ounces of HydroPlex and set a timer for 10 minutes. Leave livestock in container for 10 minutes and then transfer them into the display tank or quarantine tank if used. 10. CAN HYDROPLEX BE USED DIRECTLY IN MY DISPLAY TANK? NO. As HydroPlex does not differentiate between good and bad bacteria, it will collapse the biological filtration and eliminate the nitrifying bacteria in an established aquaria. HydroPlex is designed to be used as a 10 minute cleansing dip in a container at a ratio of 1 ounce per quart of water or in a hospital tank at a ratio of 2 ounces per 5 gallons of water. 11. HOW DO I USE HYDROPLEX IN A HOSPITAL OR QUARANTINE TANK? Add 2 ounces of HydroPlex for every 5 gallons of water. Do not use carbon filtration or other chemical absorbents. Dosage may be repeated after 24 hours and every 48 hours thereafter for up to 7 days. 12. CAN HYDROPLEX BE USED WITH AMPHIBIANS OR CEPHALOPODS? NO. Amphibians and cephalopods have shown a sensitivity to HydroPlex. 13. HOW SHOULD RUBY REEF PRODUCTS BE STORED? All products should be stored at room temperature and out of strong light. Do not freeze or store in the cold. Do not shake bottle prior to or during use and replace caps immediately after use. 14. CAN RUBY REEF PRODUCTS BE USED PROPHYLACTICALLY? YES. Many stores and hobbyists treat their fish by adding Kick-Ich and Rally to the tank once or twice a month to keep the fish free of parasites and bacteria. Keep in mind that you must remove the carbon filtration or any absorbent media and you need to turn OFF the skimmer and sterilizer during the treatment period so that you are not removing the medications from the tank. You determine the length and duration of treatment, usually 1 or 2 days is sufficient.
