If you have any questions, please don t hesitate to contact any of the board members. We are listed on the first page of the Barking Times with our contact information. Also, please check the Important Dates at the end of the Barking Times for events and class schedules. Our next Open Meeting will be October 10, 2018 at 7 pm at our training building. Those in attendance will receive 10 PAWS points. The Executive Meeting will be held on October 7th. If you have anything that you would want to be heard at the meeting you can contact me at 260-602-0955 or Crazyshelties@comcast.net, or contact any board member. On October 19th-21rst, we will again be hosting our agility trial at the Plex South on Engle Rd. This is an excellent time to see how much fun participating in an agility trial can be. Admission is free. Also, we could never put on this trial without workers. Most of the jobs are easy and do not require an agility background. You will earn Paw s Points while working too. If you are interested in helping, please contact Diane Townsend at Townsend_diane@frontier.com. Hope to see you there. We will be holding a NoseWork match on October 6th at the Huntington County Fairgrounds, starting at 8:00AM, and probably running to mid-afternoon. We are looking forward to holding a successful match and then being able to move on to hosting a trial. We have our judges, match chair and match secretary all Club members, and now we need workers! Stewarding jobs include things like tidying boxes after a rambunctious dog has rearranged them on the floor; carrying the scent from the prep area to the ring; timing the exhibitor s runs; carrying scoresheets to the match secretary to record; wiping dog slobber off of boxes or items; assembling boxes prior to the start of the trial; helping hang tarps or clean up at the end of the trial. Also need gate stewards to keep the exhibitors organized and lined up ready to do their run. If you can spare a few hours or the full day, please contact Kate at: Fireside- FCR@gmail.com by October 1st. And if you have a preference of jobs, include that in your email please. Include whether you are showing in the match, and what hours you are available please. PAWS points will be recorded based on the hours worked, so be sure to sign in when you arrive!
