AWARDS OF MERIT - Awards of Merit will be awarded to up to two Pomeranians at the judge s discretion following the judging of the Best of Breed class, and the awarding of ribbons and trophies for Best of Breed, and Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex. The Awards of Merit winners will receive a Rosette. The procedure for the Awards of Merit selections are as follows: The Best of Breed judge is given the authority to select up to two Award of Merit winners. After the Best of Breed, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex have been chosen and have received their ribbons and trophies, the judge selects the Award of Merit winners and they are given their awards. The Best of Breed, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex are not eligible for an Award of Merit, but any of the other dogs are. The major consideration is that the judge select 2 specimens, or less, that he or she considers to be the nearest n overall quality to the Best of Breed. PUPPY SWEEPSTAKES The Sweepstakes is open to all Pomeranians who are 6 months of age and under 18 months of age on the day of the show. All dogs entered in Sweepstakes must also be entered in regular classes. Junior puppies entered in 6 9 months and 9 12 months classes must pay regular class fee of $18.00 plus the $15.00 Sweepstakes fee. The Pomeranian Club of Central Indiana, Inc., the Show Secretary or Show Chairman assumes no responsibility for any personal injury or death to any person, theft, damage or loss of personal property nor injury, death or theft of any animal either at or on the show grounds. ATTENTION EXHIBITORS Entries close at 6:00 pm, August 26, 2015. Fees must accompany entries. The Club and/or its Show Secretary assume no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by owner or agent of the owner. The Club and its Show Secretary assume no responsibility for the owner or the owner s agent entering a dog in a class in which the dog is not eligible to compete nor for entering the same dog twice. A Recording Fee of.50 cents and $3.00 AKC Event Service Fee will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show or Obedience Trial. These fees are to be collected by the show giving Club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the same show, the Recording Fee is to be collected on the first entry only. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2) The judging will start promptly. During the hours of judging owners are to be on call, and have their dogs ready to bring into the ring promptly, in order that the judging will not be delayed. Dogs need only be present for their judging. Dogs not needed for further judging may be excused. The Club reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. All Trophies must be claimed the day of the Show. None will be mailed. The show site will be available to exhibitors at 3:00 pm. All grooming space is available on a first-come-first-served bases. Exhibitors and Handlers will be held responsible for the clean conditions in and around their grooming area. Please use designated areas to exercise your dogs. Please clean up after your dogs. No dogs will be allowed in the restrooms. All catalogs will be sold. None will be given away. Entry fees will NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by veterinarian or judge or barred from competition because it has been entered incorrectly. The will be no refund for duplicate entries. Declination of entries. The participating Club may decline any entries for cause and may refuse to receive or may remove any dog on account of disease, viciousness or other causes and no one shall have any claim or recourse against the Club or any official thereof. Entries for Exhibition Only will not be accepted. CANADIAN EXHIBITORS MUST SUBMIT ENTRIES WITH CHECKS DRAWN ON U.S. ACCOUNTS OR WITH INTERNATIONAL MONEY ORDERS IN U.S. FUNDS. If dogs are left in unattended closed vehicles, the owner will be paged. If there is no immediate response to this page, vehicle windows may be broken! All persons attending this dog show hereby waive any claim for damages against The Pomeranian Club of Central Indiana, Inc. or its members in the event a motor vehicle must be entered to rescue a dog from overheating or suffocation due to improper ventilation. All rights to TELEVISE, VIDEOTAPE, ADVERTISE, PHOTOGRAPH, PROMOTE or otherwise exploit this event are vested in the Club, or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in writing by the Club. All persons and animal on the Show-grounds at any time while the Show is in progress, do by attending this show or participating therein, grant to the Club the right to photograph, televise, video tape, audio tape, or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of entry will be made. The Club reserves the right to cancel this event due to extreme weather conditions. No refunds will be given. Dogs which according to their owner s records have completed the requirements for a championship after the closing of entries for the show, but whose championships are unconfirmed, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed or Variety competition, provided this transfer is made by the Show Secretary at least one half hour prior to the start of any regular conformation judging at the show. RETURNED CHECKS do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show Secretary will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY basis. We can not accept credit card payments for entry fees. No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Entries will not be accepted without fees or signatures. Changes, additions or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing or by telegram prior to close of entries.
