In This Issue: Jan. Meeting Agenda 2-3 Slate of Candidates 3 Christmas Party Photos 4 Members Brags 5-6 Sunshine Committee 7 A Message from our President Jeanette Stribling Happy New Year to all! It was great seeing you at the Christmas party. Once again, it was a fabulous night filled with great music, delicious food, wonderful fellowship and lots of awards. What a pleasure it was to present O Malley McGee with a check for $500 to use for the upcoming Westminster Dog Show! We are so proud of her accomplishments. We also presented a check for $7,800 to the Greenville County Sheriff s K9 unit for the purchase of a new dog. Captain Steve Epps presented a plaque to GKC in appreciation. Also, Kris Harner was presented with the AKC Outstanding Sportsmanship Award, an accolade she certainly deserves. And, I was named Member of the Year and am truly honored. One thing I wanted to remind everyone of for 2019 is that no GKC member is on salary. We rely totally on volunteers to keep the club running smoothly (and it does run smoothly). Please choose your words kindly and wisely when interacting with others. Your choice of words and the way that you express yourself can be such a positive reflection on our club. We owe a great deal of gratitude to all of our volunteers and we couldn t be the great club that we are without them. Thank you so much. Till next time, Jeanette Yearly Dues - Ken Spiegel Just a reminder that our yearly dues are now due. I mailied everyone an invoice in November. You can pay by mail, online, or at our January meeting. Dues for 2019 will be $25 for Individual, $40 for Family, and $15 for Associate Members. No dues are charged for Life Members and Junior Members.

Just 2 months later at 19 months, on October 21 in Atlanta, GA at the Georgia Classic/ Nenan Kennel Club --Dixie took SEL to earn her Grand Champion status--judged by Mr. Desmond J Murphy. We thank the GKC for training us in the world of Conformation Shows and especially Bob Vandiver!! Trish Mitchell Koukla Samoyeds - Ch.White Gold's Bizzy Body @ Koukla won BOB at the Clemson KC shows on Jan.5 & 6,2019. We also won OH Group 1 on Jan.6. Bizzy just turned 1 year old on Dec.13,2017 and earned her championship at 8 months old. Trish Mitchell is loved, owned and trained by Bizzy! Beverly Childs Stone House Hounds The StoneHouseHounds are excited to have a new Champion and this beautiful and mischievous girl as part of our pack. CH Crepu Visage Aged To Perfection At StoneHouse CGC CGCA CGCU TKN HC ~ WILLETT finished her championship with 17 points at 12 months of age. We were so excited to have Breeder Judge Ms. Mary Anne Brocious appreciate our naughty and much-loved girl in a major lineup of bitches. Willett finished with four majors - two of those majors under breeder judges Ms. Barbara Goodkind Pepper (3 points) and in Orlando at the Brevard Kennel Club under Judge Brocious (3 points.) Other majors were awarded by Judge Mr. Elliott B. Weiss (4 points) and Judge Mr. Luc Boileau (3 points.) Willett will hang out and hunt for the rest of the winter. She has one leg on her Junior PBGVCA hunting title. Hopefully before spring we can put a hunting title at the end of her name. Willi is not just a show dog - she loves the mud, digging and is not afraid to go into cover in briars. Unfortunately, Willi is not a fan of grooming:( Willett is out of GCH Crepu Visage & Suton s Get The Party Started ~ PINK owned by Sandy Bustin and by CH McRudge Centerstage Fun Times in Rio @ Morganmills ~ RIO, owned by Patti Whitlock. Willi is owned by Beverly and Tony Childs and handled and adored by her mom. Co-Owner and Breeder is Sandy Bustin.
