Explanation of Adoption Fees Lead Me Home operates differently from most rescues in that we are professional dog trainers committed to providing adopters with well behaved family pets. Our mission is to place pets in their forever home and we know that starting with good manners, basic training foundations, and building a trusting relationship are keys to a successful adoption. Along with an initial temperament assessment, our dogs receive daily training either in a LTW facility or in a committed foster home in alignment with LTW training philosophies. We also offer, and recommend, continued training through the acclimation process thus creating a deeper understanding between dog and family. Our dogs are fully vaccinated/altered/micro chipped/ up to date on flea and tick preventative/heart worm tested and on monthly preventative. LMH operates as a non-profit and there is an adoption fee associated with our dogs to continue our efforts and provide outstanding family pets to our community. Included in the adoption fee is a four week training class with Lead the Way Development, thus continuing and expanding the training and relationship foundations to your family.
