Cheques dated after close of entries will not be accepted. Returned cheques & declined credit cards will be assessed a $25.00 service charge (Chapter 8.8, C.K.C. Dog Show Rules). Greyhound entries must be prepaid for delivery and will not be picked up. Please do not send entries by Registered Mail. To comply with instructions issued by the Canadian Kennel Club, we will be unable to accept any entry reaching our Show Secretary after the closing time and date. Please allow ample time for delays in the mail. ATTENTION FOREIGN EXHIBITORS: Please note that fees are due and payable in Canadian dollars. Due to consistently fluctuating currency rates, discounted cheques will not be accepted. Personal Cheques will be accepted, however, they are to be payable in Canadian funds. If you send a cheque in US funds, it must be made out for the full amount of the entry and no exchange will be refunded to the exhibitor. Classes will be divided by age only as follows: 7-10 years 10 years & older ALL PRIZES ARE TO BE CLAIMED AT THE SHOW NO PRIZES WILL BE MAILED CLASSIFICATIONS The following regular CKC classes (divided by sex) will be provided: JUNIOR PUPPY dogs between 6 months and under 9 months on day of show SENIOR PUPPY dogs between 9 months and under 12 months on day of show 12-18 MONTHS dogs between 12 months and under 18 months on day of show CANADIAN BRED dogs born in Canada, Champions of any country are excluded. BRED BY EXHIBITOR dogs owned and handled in the ring by the breeder for this class, but need not handle the dog for further awards. OPEN CLASS for all dogs VETERANS CLASS for all dogs over 7 years of age on day of show. These dogs to compete for regular placements and the winner of this class will go on to compete for BEST OF BREED (they do not compete for Winners). Dogs in this class may be spayed/neutered. FIELD CLASS Dogs entered in this class must have attained a title or placement in a field trial or test. This class is to be judged prior to Best of Breed judging with winners of each sex competing for Best of Breed. Dogs entered in this class may be spayed or neutered. SPECIALS ONLY dogs who are Canadian Champions. A CKC Registration Number or ERN must be indicated on the entry form at time of closing. NON-REGULAR & UNOFFICIAL CLASS All dogs must be entered in the Regular classes, Veteran's class, "Specials Only", or for Exhibition Only to compete in the following non-regular classes. Dogs may be spayed or neutered. In order for a dog to be entered in any Non-Regular or Unofficial class, dogs must also be entered in a Regular class or for Exhibition Only. Dogs may be spayed or neutered. EXHIBITION ONLY EXHIBITION ONLY (3-6 MONTHS) BRACE STUD DOG & GET dogs entered in this class may not compete in any Regular class but may enter and compete in Non-Regular classes and/or Parades if provided for in this premium list. Puppies 3-6 months of age may be entered in Exhibition Only 3-6 Months provided the owner(s) has entered a dog in a Regular Official Class. Puppies in this category may enter and compete in Sweepstakes. Two dogs not necessarily of the same sex or owner. Must be handled by one person on one lead and should be judged as an identical pair. Dogs may be spayed/neutered Stud Dog and two or more of his get. Stud Dog and Get may be entered in a Regular class or Exhibition only.

BROOD BITCH & PROGENY Brood Bitch and two or more of her progeny. Stud Dog and Get may be entered in a Regular class or Exhibition only. WITHDRAWAL OF ENTRIES Please note: An exhibitor has the right to withdraw an entry up to the closing date and time as published in the premium list. This may be done by telephone but written or electronic notification must be received by the Show Secretary no later than the official closing date and time. If written notification is not received by that time, the dog will remain entered in the show. An error in an age-specified class, date of birth or sex, may be amended up to one hour before the start of the show. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION Sunday, August 6 after the FGC specialty Judge: Catherine Barlow ATTENTION: CKC JUNIOR HANDLING RULES EFFECTIVE JAN. 1, 2016. Section 3.4.1 Junior Handler, with the exception of PeeWees, must apply to CKC Head Office on the appropriate form for a Junior Handling Number within 30 days of competing in their first Junior Handling event. This Junior Handling Number will be used by the Junior Handler for the duration of their Junior Handling career. If a Junior Handling number is not obtained, Junior Handling points earned will not be tracked. Classes Offered: Pee Wee (non-competitive) / Junior Novice / Intermediate Novice / Senior Novice / Junior Open / Intermediate Open / Senior Open. Age Structure: Pee Wee (4-6 years), Junior (7-11 years), Senior (12-18 years). Entry Fee: $2.00 payable at registration. Entries will be taken during the FGC specialty on Sunday. Dogs handled in the competition must be entered in the FGC specialty. The FGC will be offering a rosette for Best Overall Junior Handler. ATTENTION: CANADIAN EXHIBITORS CKC Non-Member Participation Fee (24-12-3) a) An annual non-member participation fee for awards and titles will be charged to a Canadian non-member of CKC. The fee is $59.40 + 5% GST.. b) In order to protect the awards/titles earned, the non-member will have a choice either to become a CKC member or to pay the non-member participation fee. Failure to comply within 30 days of notification will cause all awards and titles to be cancelled. c) "these fees apply only to dogs wholly owned by Canadian resident non-ckc members and are not applicable to CKC members" *Please note that the CKC Membership Application and the Non-Member Participation Fee forms are available on the website, http://www.ckc.ca under CKC Services and then Forms On-line. If submitting a Membership Application, please ensure that you also complete the Non-Member Participation Fee form so that we are aware of the dogs involved. This fee does not have to be paid before entering this show. ATTENTION ALL FOREIGN EXHIBITORS Effective Jan/1992 all dogs that are foreign-born and foreign-owned and enter Canada for the sole purpose of entering CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) events will no longer require a CKC registration number but will require an ERN - Event Registration Number. This ERN does not register a dog with CKC for breeding purposes as defined in the Animal Pedigree Act but rather enables a foreign-owned dog to be awarded titles by the Canadian Kennel Club. Each dog must have its own number. To obtain an ERN, mail or fax a photocopy of the dog's registration certificate with certified cheque, money order, VISA or MasterCard number (expiry date, cardholder's name and signature). Provide your complete address for return of the ERN to you. Cost is $59.40 + 5% GST. ERN MUST BE APPLIED FOR WITHIN 30 DAYS OF FIRST DAY OF ENTERING A CKC EVENT. Information for US Exhibitors on entering Canada To enter Canada from the States, US Citizens must show proof of identity; however as of June 1, 2009, to enter back into the United States, all US Citizens age 16 or older must have a valid Passport or Approved Secure Travel Document. Please be aware that all dogs must have a valid rabies certificate to cross the border. A valid rabies vaccination that has been given at least 30 days prior to entry into Canada is required to bring a dog into this country. Government regulations require a rabies vaccination certificate be provided for each dog. NOTE: Dogs less than three months of age do not require rabies vaccination. CATALOGUE ADVERTISING There will be space in our new look show catalogue for your advertisement. The catalogue will be half page format (5.5 x 8.5 ). ALL ADS ARE $15.00 Best of Breed winners from last year are offered priority positioning at the beginning of their breed. The name of the competition judge will be announced before judging on August 6, 2017. The AKC will award a rosette and prize of $300.00 to the Best of the Specialty Winner This is an unofficial event. There is no need to enter another class or pay an additional fee, the winners as described are automatically eligible to compete.
