The Heat And Warmth Fund distributes assistance to vulnerable Michigan residents through partner agencies and annual events. Utility assistance is needed by a growing number of households. Last year alone, THAW distributed more than $12 million in utility help to over 10,000 Michigan households. Recipients are usually the elderly, disabled or under-employed. More than 70% of the households THAW helps have a child or senior in the home.
