October 2015 Open Meeting October 7, 2015 The Barking at 7:00 p.m. Times FORT WAYNE OBEDIENCE TRAINING CLUB CLUB PHONE: 260.637.2121 www.fwotc.com President s Message & Open Meeting I would like to welcome all of the new club members to our club. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any of the board members that are listed on the front page of the Barking Times. Please review the important dates below so that you are familiar with the class schedule and any upcoming events. Please remember to clean up after your dogs both inside and outside. Please remember to NOT let your dog go to the end of your leash when entering and exiting the building. It is important to keep control of your dog at all times. If you are using club equipment to practice with your dog prior to classes starting, please return the equipment to the storage room when you are finished. Also, try to be out of the rings about 10 minutes prior to classes starting so students may enter the rings with their dogs and keep traffic flowing throughout the building. Please note that the next open meeting will be held on October 7, 2015 at 7pm. The meeting will last about an hour and a half. All those in attendance will receive 10 paws points for the meeting. Just 30 more to go:) Sunshine Jester s You Can t Bee Serious, RN, AJP December 5, 2001 September 5, 2015 Stratton It seems like yesterday she came home to live me at 12 weeks of age. She completed the Briggs & Stratton team at the time. Stratton was the beginning of so many things in my dog show life. I started showing in conformation because of her. I have met so many people that are now my friends along the way. I chose to have more Pointers because of her which is how Team Pointer got started. She would do obedience because I asked her to, but her passion was agility. She was ranked as the #1 Preferred Pointer in Agility by the AKC from July 2011 to July 2012 shortly before retiring. What an amazing ride we had together. She was simply the best and will be missed every day.? s THIS & THAT Tuesday Night Practice: If you want ring time to practice obedience on Tuesdays nights after 6pm contact Diane Townsend at townsend_diane@frontier.com. Please email by Friday of the week prior to when you want ring time. We are only reserving times on a week by week basis. The building is open on Tuesdays and can be used until 6:00pm without contacting them. Daytime Practice: The building is open 9am to 6pm on Tuesday and Wednesday for obedience practice only. If you would like to go out there to practice, then you may do so without contacting anyone. Just go out, turn the lights on, and turn the air on, if it isn t already. Make sure you sign the book so we know you were there. Please work in one ring at a time so if anyone else comes they can use a different ring. Please put any equipment away that you may have gotten out, turn the air, and the lights off before you leave. Thank you for your cooperation.
