Check any PTs you want to enter, if any. You must have (or enter) the PT (or NASCW ORT) for the level that you are entering in the element trials. Check the elements you want to enter you can enter 2 trials in the same square if the element and level is the same for both. Check the level you are competing in (ie Novice, Advanced, etc). Check whether you are in A or B you can check the rule book for the definitions of A and B. Ignore the Handler Discrimination and Nosework Trials boxes. Any special instructions can be written across the bottom, or on the side (such as PT1 & 2 in Trial 1, and PT3 & 4 in Trial 2). 1. Nosework trials will include a pre-trial for the levels being run. Dogs need to pass the pre-trial for the level they are competing in. Dogs may be entered prior to passing, but must pass the pre-trial prior to competing that day. If the dog has passed on ORT in the applicable odor please submit a copy of proof. 2. Individual element classes are divided into Levels N - E and further divided into A and B sections depending on the experience of the dog and/or handler. Be sure to check the rules regarding the divisions. For these classes, dogs will only be searching the elements chosen. 3. Full Nosework Trials are divided into Levels N - E and further divided into A and B sections depending on the experience of the dog and/or handler. These trials contain all four elements. Each element passed earns a leg toward a title in that element. 4. Handler Discrimination. One glove will be used and must be provided by the handler. 5. All entries must be submitted on the current Official UKC Nosework Trial Entry Form. 6. Use a separate entry form for each dog entered in a club's event. 7. Nosework events are open to all UKC registered breeds and mixed-breed dogs with a valid Performance Listing/Limited Privilege number/permanent Registration/Temporary Listing. 8. We want you to keep the points earned at UKC Licensed events. Important things to remember: All dogs entering UKC events must be permanently registered, have a valid Temporary Listing Number, or a Performance Listing/Limited Privilege number. Dog not UKC registered? Apply for a Temporary Listing Number (TL) online at www.ukcdogs.com or call the Dog Events Department at (269) 343-9020. (TL fees are non-refundable, non-transferable and do not apply to the cost of permanent registration.) All entry forms must be completed and signed.
