No, discussed that this is not feasible and this would be very complicated to manage in a class setting. Brags: were shared. Katie moved to adjourn the meeting; Linda seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 8:21 PM. Respectfully submitted, Amber Perri, Secretary NOCI Awards Program At its annual awards banquet, NOCI recognizes titles and major awards won by its members by giving each handler/dog team a plaque listing its accomplishments. Each year the plaque is updated to reflect new accomplishments. As written in the club bylaws, this is what you must do to be eligible for a plaque: 1. Submit a written record of your accomplishment on an NOCI score report form. Score reports should be submitted online at tinyurl.com/nociscore, placed in the Woof Box in the club office, or mailed to the awards chairperson (Judy Gemperline). Score reports must be submitted by December 31 of the year in which the title was earned. If you do not meet the deadline, the club will not pay for the engraving/plaque. 2. Provide two services to the club during the last 12 months. Fill out the service form so we have a record. 3. Attend at least one general membership meeting during the last 12 months. Be sure to sign the attendance sheet whenever you attend a meeting. Due to the increasing number and expense of these awards, the club will be adhering to these guidelines very strictly. Score Reports are due by December 31, 2016!!

THE THREE CRUCIAL KEYS TO AGILITY GREATNESS So you want to know what the three most crucial things are in creating a great agility dog? Foundation, foundation, foundation. It s all about foundation!! Not many of us find happiness in doing the little things. We all want to jump, and run and jump some more! I see puppies as young as 6 months running through stanchions; doing running contacts and channeled weave poles. Some handlers want to run their puppies without regard for the really fun puppy stuff such as the introduction and interaction with toys, balls and Frisbees. This is the perfect time to play train the Crate Games and Recalls; Body Awareness on the plank and ladder. Let s consider all the small stuff first. Through the thick and thin of daily exercise, of foundation training, we will bend, lure, coax, crawl, kneel and do all the grueling routine floor work over and over -- until one day, VOILA your baby knows his/her job. Ultimately, this will become our most important stuff. Our young dogs miss nothing if they don t start sequencing until they are 15 months or older. A dog s early success has everything to do with agility foundation training. Foremost, we should focus on raising a wonderful, healthy family dog. It is those attributes that we invest toward raising a great family pet that will lay the foundation for an outstanding agility dog. With a solid foundation, both at home and in the agility hall - the rest of our agility training (running sequences, training weave pole entry or contacts) will come quickly and with the utmost focus on us. Trust me! As some of us have experienced, we become frustrated in our training; and sometimes the required re-training of skills will not be as easily trained as we thought. Without proper foundation training, the level of excellence in the agility ring can escape us forever. As we have all seen anyone can do agility from young to old. But not all of us can find the strong dedication needed for patience and consistency in focusing on floor work first. It is from the ground floor that we move up in our search for the excellence that we all seek in our Top Dog ; and there can be no greater reward than having a true canine team-player to work with us toward that goal!
