All dogs present must be held on leash or otherwise restricted except when being judged. Under no circumstances will dogs be allowed to disturb the resting stock or interfere with another dog s performance. Unentered dogs are not allowed in the trial areas. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians' recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. The trophy is a black and red rosette with optional shadowbox display case. This award will be formally presented on Saturday, 5 October, 2013 at Creepy Hollow Farm. HERDING VICTOR/VICTRIX TITLE/TROPHY A DannyQuest Cold Cast Bronze statue of a GSD and Sheep, and a special GSDCA black and red rosette will be awarded to the Highest Scoring German Shepherd Dog with a qualifying run from the Advanced Sheep class - A or C Course, judged by Barbara Lockard. In case of a tie, AKC rules will be followed. The dog must be AKC Purebred German Shepherd (PAL/ILP allowed). Spayed/neutered dogs are acceptable. At least one owner of the dog must be a member of the GSDCA. This award will be formally presented on Monday, 7 October, 2013 at Scarlets Mill Farm and also during the lunch break on Wednesday, 9 October, 2013 in the Dream Park Main Arena.

SPECIAL BLACK AND RED ROSETTES AWARDS Requirements: All Special Rosettes require qualifying scores. Only German Shepherd Dogs are eligible. All special awards will be presented at the conclusion of all GSDCA 2013 Herding events. Awards will be presented at Scarlets Mill Farm on Monday, 7 October, 2013. ENTRY INFORMATION If sending entries overnight, make sure to sign the waiver that allows them to leave packages without a signature. Requiring a signature will delay receipt of your entries. The German Shepherd Dog Club of America, their officers and representatives, the Trial Chair, Secretary, Committee, and the owners of the trial site assume no responsibility for loss, damage, or injury sustained by spectators, exhibitors property and their dogs and further assume no responsibility for injury to children. Owners or handlers entering a dog in the Test or Trial do so at their own risk and also agree to abide by the Rules of The American Kennel Club and the most recent version of the AKC Herding Regulations. RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY. ERRORS ON ENTRY FORMS: Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms (whoever may make such errors) and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. DECLINED ENTRIES: The German Shepherd Dog Club of America may decline any entries and may remove any dog on account of disease, viciousness, or other cause and no one shall have any claim against the aforementioned mentioned club or any official thereof. ENTRY FEES SHALL NOT BE REFUNDED in the event a dog is absent, not allowed to compete in the entered class, disqualified, excused, by a Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of Show Committee. If because of riots, civil disturbances, or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or complete the Test\Trial, no refund of entries will be made. ALTERNATE LIST POLICIES: When entry limits are reached, all additional entries received prior to closing will be added to an alternates list. The alternates list will be used to fill vacancies that occur in the drawn running order, with the first available alternate entry replacing the first vacancy in the class entered. In Test Classes, alternates shall be given priority over dogs eligible to be moved- up. BITCHES IN SEASON will be permitted to run but will be placed at the end of the running order in Test classes and in catalog order for Trial classes. Please notify the Trial Secretary before the beginning of the class if your bitch is in season. No dog may be entered in two classes on the same course with the same kind of stock under the same judge at any Test or Trial. ACCOMMODATIONS The following motels accept dogs. Turn right onto Route 122A to Route 31. Turn left onto Route 31 in Paxton. Creepy Hollow Farm is on Route 31, three miles from the lights in Paxton. It is at the top of the hill just after the Spencer town line. Red barn on left, white house on right. From Interstate 290 in Worcester Take Interstate 190 North Exit 2. At light at end of off ramp, cross over (do not turn at light). Continue to West Mountain Street. Turn left and continue as above. From Mass Pike (90) in Sturbridge Take Sturbridge Exit. Go east on Route 20. Turn left on Route 49 to Spencer. At end, turn right on Route 9, then left on Route 31. After passing the Black & White Restaurant, Creepy Hollow Farm is 0.8 miles on top of hill. Red barn on right, white house on left.

Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefrom, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this event, however such, injuries, death or property damage may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees, agents, or any other persons. I (WE) AGREE THAT ANY CAUSE OF ACTION, CONTROVERSY OR CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE ENTRY, EXHIBITION OR ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT BETWEEN THE AKC AND THE EVENT- GIVING CLUB (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN ITS PREMIUM LIST) AND MYSELF (OURSELVES) OR AS TO THE CONSTRUCTION, INTERPRETATION AND EFFECT OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE SETTLED BY ARBITRATION PURSUANT TO THE APPLICABLE RULES OF THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION. HOWEVER, PRIOR TO ARBITRATION ALL APPLICABLE AKC BYLAWS, RULES, REGULATIONS AND PROCEDURES MUST FIRST BE FOLLOWED AS SET FORTH IN THE AKC CHARTER AND BYLAWS, RULES, REGULATIONS, PUBLISHED POLICIES AND GUIDELINES. I (we) will pay for any livestock injuries or replacement value of the livestock in the event of injury or death of any livestock caused by my dog or occurring while my dog is being tested or judged in this Herding Test or Trial. I (we) agree to pay the owner of the livestock full market value of the injured animal in the case of serious injury or total cost of any medical care if the injury is deemed slight as determined by the owner of the stock.
