The Michigan Angora Club is pleased to be the host club for the National Angora Rabbit Breeders Club, Inc. Speciality show. The national show is held in conjuction with Great Lakes Rabbit and Cavy Club open and youth Double show on Saturday April 22nd and open and youth Double show on April 23 rd. This is a great chance to show five times in one weekend! Host Hotels: There are two hotels in the area and both have rooms blocked for the rabbit show. American Inn and Suites 423 Brown Blvd Ionia MI 48846. (616) 527-2200 directly across the road from the showroom. This hotel is currently full. Just 1.5 miles from the show room is the Super 8 7245 South State Rd Ionia Mi 48846 1-800-382-0484 This Hotel is Currently full. Since both host hotels are full we have a couple recommendations for hotels that are in the area. American Heritage Inn, Portland Mi 517-647-2200, 21 minutes east of Ionia. Pet friendly, rates $85-$181 per night. Main Street Inn, Lowell Mi 117 W Main St Lowell Mi 49331. Rate of $89 per night. 22 minutes from Ionia 616-897-1171 Camping Campsites are available at the fairgrounds. Rates are $25 per day for full hook up and $20 per day for dry sites. Payment is due upon arrival to Great Lakes Rabbit and Cavy shows superintendent Bryan Shirk. No reservations for camp sites. Judge/ Show Order Angora National Speciality show judge will be Mark Jacobs, IL. Show order will be Open Satin, Youth Satin, English Open, English Youth, French Open, French Youth, Giant Open, Giant Youth. Show starts at 8:00 am.

Grooming There will be a grooming area set up in the building and outside (weather permitting). This is a carrier show. No cooping for angoras. If you have tables you want for stacking your carriers you are welcome to bring them. Hospitality Night Jamie will be hosting an angora hospitality evening on Friday at 7pm at the fairgrounds. Food, beverages and an evening of fun! You are welcome to bring a dish if you wish. Entry Fees This is a pre entry show. Pre-entry fee is $8.00 per rabbit and $3.00 wool. If you choose to enter and pay at the show the fee is $10.00 per rabbit and $5.00 for wool. Comment cards and Entry sheet must be postmarked no later than April 12,2017 including check made payable to MAC (Michigan Angora Club) and mailed to Jamie Hacker, 2399 Bradley Rd, Webbervillle, MI 48892 Late entries and changes can be made Friday evening from 5pm-7pm. And Saturday 6am-6:30 am. No refunds. Great Lakes Rabbit and Cavy Club The showroom will be open on Friday evening from 5:00pm until 9:00 pm.building will be secured in the evening and will not reopen until 6:00 am Saturday. These are not pre-entry shows. Comment cards are required with entry sheet. (Show flyer is attached) Great Lakes will be accepting entries on Friday evening at 7:00 pm to save you time in the morning. All breed shows may be showing angoras at the same time as our National show. It is your responsibility to not miss your classes. Wool/Skein/Garment Contest We will have a wool/skein and garment contest. Reminder all entries must have been made or harvested within one year of the show. (Entry forms attached) Please read all rules of show carefully as procedures and forms have recently changed. Judges will be Sheila Henry and Deb McDermott. Sheila has raised all five breeds of angoras since 1995. She is the manager of Dances With Wool Fiber Co-op. Deb has been working with fiber and fiber animals for over 25 years. She is the owner/operator of Stonehedge Fiber Mill. If you are not able to attend nationals but still want to enter in the wool/skein/garment contest you can mail entries to Jackie McDonald P.O BOX 116 Bancroft, MI 48414. Please include check made out to MAC for entry and for return postage if you want item returned after show. Must be postmarked no later than April 12, 2016 Entries for w/s/g contest will be accepted Friday the 21 st from 5:00pm-7:oo pm and Saturday from 6:00 am-6:30 am.

Silent Auction A silent auction will be held at the banquet on April 22. Auction is to raise funds for Research and Development and is hosted by Michigan Angora Club. Donations of silent auction items are needed. Show Rules 1. These shows are governed by the latest ARBA and NARBC show rules. The show committee will have final authority on any interpetations necessary at the show. The filing of the entry form indicates acceptance of these rules, as well as additional rules as listed below. 2. The Michigan Angora Club, NARBC Inc. and Great Lakes Rabbit and Cavy Club, MSRBA and ARBA will not be responsible for any loss or injury by fire, accident, thrft or providential destruction. Reasonable precaution will be taken to prevent injury or loss in the showroom. 3. Show officials have the right to add, delete, or reassign judges as circumstances require. The show committee reserves the right to assign breeds to judges. 4. All animals must be permanently ermarked in the left ear. Any animal NOT legibly earmarked will be automatically disqualified. 5. Cooping will not be provided. This is a carrier show. Each exhibitor must furnish their own feed, water and containers for their rabbits. 6. NARBC National Speciality show entry deadline is April 12, 2017. All entry fees and forms must be post marked by this date. Including payment. The Great Lakes Rabbit show is day of show entry. All entry information is included in show catalog. 7. Subsitutions shall be allowed only in the same sex, class, variety, group and breed. Substitutions must be made for show by 6:30 am on Saturday April 22, 2016. There is no additional fee for substitution changes. 8. Late Entries will be accepted for the NARBC National Speciality show. Late entry fee will be $10.00 per rabbit and $5.00 for wool class. 9. Entry Form and comment cards must be completely filled out and submitted with payment for the NARBC National Speciality show. Pre-Entry is $8.00 per rabbit and $3.00 for wool class. 10. Wool entries must be entered in class judging. 11. No breeding will be premitted in the show building unless owners are present. 12. All rabbits open and youth must be carried to the judging table by the owner. Youth exhibitors must carry youth rabbits to the table. It is the owner s responsibility to arrange for someone to carry their rabbits to the judging table if they are unable to do so. 13. Sanctioned breeds for open and youth: English, French, Giand and Satin Angoras. Unrecognized varieties may be judged, however they may not compete for legs or awards. 14. Awards will be given at the banquet on Saturday, April 22, 2016.

15. Only animals allowed in show room are rabbits and cavys. No dogs are allowed in the showroom except for those trained to assist the disabled. 16. Rabbits are free to leave after judging is complete. 17. Parents are responsible for the actions of their children. Parents must control their children s behavior or will be asked to leave at once. If you are asked to leave all entry fees will be forfeited. 18. Exhibitors are not allowed on the side of the show table designated for the judges. 19. Exhibitors must place their rabbits on the judging table PROMPTLY when classes are called. Classes will not be held up for rabbits that do not show up after class is called twice. 20. Entry fees and banquet fees are non-refundable. If entries are not shown no refund will be given. 21. Any rabbit(s) showing signs of colds of any other ailment will be removed from the showroom. 22. Sweepstakes will be governed by the latest sweepstakes rules of NARBC, Inc. 23. No smoking in the showroom. 24. The showroom will be open during stated times in the catalog. 25. A $30.00 fee will be assessed for insufficient checks. 26. It is against ARBA rules to enter the same rabbit in both youth and open classes in the same show. Youth may make entries in both Open and Youth classes with different animals. Adults cannot show in youth classes at any time. 27. Exhibitors may watch the judging, however, they may not talk to or question the judges during judging. Exhitibitors are asked to stand back for the judging table. 28. All exhibitors are required to clean up their own areas. This includes throwing away all wool and trash.
