The European breed championship for the Ghent cropper is organized by the "Koninklijke Kroppersclub Gent" ( = "Royal Pouter Club Ghent", KKG), in collaboration with the association of small live stock breeders "Het Neerhof Werk van den Akker-Land van Aalst vzw" (WvdA-LvA). It is housed in the exhibition organized by WvdA-LvA. The competition and exhibition will be organized according to the rules of the general regulations for judgements-exhibitions of the Flemish Federation of small live stock breeders (VIVFN), of the National Federation (LFN) and the European Entente (EE), to which the participants automatically submit with their registration. KKG acts as the official association responsible for the organization. 2. Only animals of the relevant Belgian breed are requested in all approved varieties and colours listed in the European standard (see attached list). Only pigeons of 2006 and younger may be exhibited. Registrations of animals of this breed are not possible for the regular small live stock exhibition of WvdA- LvA. Animals should be ringed by the rules of the European Entente, to have a closed, non-detachable ring from a country member of the EE (see summary in section 3). The number of the ring is not required to be stated on the registration form, but must be communicated when caging the birds. The complete (letter and number) identification numbers must be mentioned. Pigeons identified with rings awarded in 2005 and older are not allowed. Bird with rings other than the official ones will be excluded (quotation 0). 3. Each participant has to be affiliated with a federation / country joined the EE (Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, France, Great Britain, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Croatia, Macedonia, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic, Sweden, Switzerland). Each participant has to mention on the registration form the number of affiliation at his respective league. 4. The European breed championship is separate from the regular competitions organized by WvdA-LVA, including the district show for other pouters. The European class has a completely separate prize schedule. Participants who want to subscribe also animals beyond Ghent cropper to the show of WvdA-LVA need to register these through the standard registration form for these regular show. Also all other modalities are completely independent of each other. 5. The exhibition will take place in the " Gemeentehallen (Town Hall)", Kloosterstraat 32, 9820 Merelbeke, Belgium. 6. Program : Caging : Wednesday, 19 October 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Thursday, 20 October 2011 from 10:00 to 12:00 Judging : Thursday, 20 October 2011 from 1:00 p.m. Award ceremony : Saturday, 22 October 2011 at 8:00 p.m., on the occasion of the breeder evening. Breeder evening : Saturday, 22 October 2011 at 8:00 p.m., at Gent Meeting Center, Akkerhage 2, 9000 Gent, Belgium. The dinner after the award ceremony will cost 35,00. The reception is offered by KKG. Afterwards there is a great buffet, drinks included. Uncaging : Sunday, 23 October 2011 from 6:00 p.m. The uncaging forms can be obtained at the secretariat from 5:45 p.m. Uncaging takes place behind closed doors. If there are no problems, the doors re-open at 6:15 p.m. At the exit controls will be carried out. Foreign participants can uncage under the strict supervision of a responsible of the organization and with demand through the registration form, from 3:00 p.m. on Sunday 23 October. Official opening : Friday, 21 October 2011 at 8h00 p.m. (by invitation). Each exhibitor and his family are herewith invited. The exhibition can be visited on : Saturday, 22 October 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday, 23 October 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Foreign visitors who want to pass the night close by the exhibition can lodge in the following hotel : Holliday Inn Express Gent, Akkerhage 2, 9000 Gent. Reservation is necessary and to be regulated by the exhibitor himself (http://www.booking.com/hotel/be/expressbyholidayinngent.html). The award ceremony and the hotel are at walking distance. 7. The entry forms must arrive before September 20, 2011 at Maarten Mees, Hogenbilk 20, 8470 Gistel, Belgium - tel 0032479 69 29 64 or email: kroppersclub.gent@gmail.com. After this date registrations can be refused. Each participant will receive a caging form and caging number in advance. This should be brought in during the caging. Please report any errors immediately. Registration should be completed by the participant in Dutch, French, German or English. For the correct names of the colours, see the attached table with the correct translation. The organizers decline any responsibility for poor or unclearly completed registration forms. The animals must be entered in the following order: old male (MO.), old female (FO.), young male (MY.), young female (FY), per variety and colour. A replacement or absence by the participant will be reported during the caging at the secretariat of the organizers. Registered animals may only be replaced by animals of the same breed, variety, colour, same sex and age (i.e. old or young). 8. The registration fee is 7,00 per animal. The catalogue is mandatory for all participants (one per family) and in principle available from Friday 21 October. It also contains the results of the regular competitions organized by WvdA-LVA, including the district show for other pouters. The price is 4.50. No entry fees will be refunded for absent birds. Through the entry form It is possible to command a cd-rom with the photos of all the participating animals, for the price of 5,00. Payment of the subscription rights and the catalogue must be made through the account in the name of "Kroppersclub": IBAN: BE09 1420 6294 6557 - BIC Code: GEBABEBB. Cheques are not accepted. Payment and registration must be performed together. If the payment is not done by October 5th, 2011 at the above account, the registration may be refused. Foreigners should also pay in advance and electronically. Access to the exhibition costs 3,00. The exhibitor receives at the caging two personal exhibition cards. These are valid for the whole weekend. 9. The judging is carried out under the European rating and according to European standards. The decisions of the judges are irrevocable. The assessments will be written in Dutch, French, German or English (depending on the judge). The awarded points are put on the selection card and listed in the catalogue. Registration form p. 2 / 5

Only helpers indicated by KKG and WvdA-LVA may be present in the exhibition space during the judgements. 10. Prizes : The following European titles are awarded:: - a general European champion (super Europa-Champion) for the best Ghent cropper, regardless of colours or variety. The winner will get a medal offered by the European Entente. - an individual European champion (Europa-Champion) for the best animal in its colour class. A minimum of 20 animals per colour and 95 points are necessary. If a minimum of 40 animals is present, the individual title is awarded both for the best male and for the best female. The colours with less than 20 animals can be brought together logically, to attribute the European title over several colours or categories (at least 20 animals). These individual champions get an European certificate. - in each colour the best collection of 4 animals where as male as female are present, is awarded with the title of "Europameister". At least 20 animals need to be present of this colour. Collections need to be filled in with K on the entry form in the column with EE. More than one collection can be filled in.(k1, K2, K3 ). These winners get an European certificate, also. The colours with less than 20 animals can be brought together logically, to attribute the European title over several colours or categories (at least 20 animals). In case of equality of points no preference shall be practiced for the European championship and multiple titles shall be assigned in the colour or category. The special club itself, the "Koninklijke Kroppersclub Gent" (KKG), provides the following prizes : Each participant with at least 4 animals receives a white figurine of the Ghent cropper as a souvenir. This prize can be picked up at the booth of KKG in the exhibition. In principle, all other prizes will be offered during the breeder evening which takes place on Saturday, October 22, 2011 (see point 6). Each participant receives a free membership of KKG for 2012. Every judge receives following prices to distribute (full judgement) : 2 x 10,00-6 x 7,50-20 x 5,00 The European champions (Europa-Champion) will receive a gold colour figurine of the Ghent cropper, under the same terms of the European titles. The best pigeon of each variety (tigered, light tigered and spotmarked together), gets a big figurine of the Ghent cropper (photo). In each variety (tigered, light tigered and spotmarked together) the best, the second and the third best result with 4 animals will be honored with respectively, a banner of honor, a silver colour and a bronze colour figurine of the Ghent cropper (4 x 3 prizes). A banner of honor will be given for the best result with 10 animals (over all colours). A banner of honor will also be donated to the best animal of a rare colour or variety (designed by the jury). Mr. Etienne De Vos from Bottelare offers a money award for a total of 175,00 for the promotion of the Ghent cropper in the region of Ghent : Ranking of the 6 best pigeons 1 st 2 d dominican 25,00 10,00 self 25,00 10,00 pied 25,00 10,00 tigered ans light tigered 25,00 10,00 spotmarked 25,00 10,00 In each group a minimum of 20 animals must be present. The second prize can go to the following exhibitor in the ranking. In case of equality of points, the following rules will be applied : a) the same colour goes before a combination of colours b) young before old c) female before male The R.S. Het Neerhof Gent offers 25,00 for the best Ghent cropper in the varieties: dominican, pouter pied, unicolour, tigered and verhemelstaart together (sum total 100,00). Besides above mentioned prizes additional awards can be offered and attributed. Unless otherwise indicated, the following priority rules will be applicable In case of equality of points, in this order : 1. The highest number of points awarded prevails. 2. Young age before old. 3. Female before male. 4. Drawing before self, colour before white. 11. Participants must be in order with the Belgian legal provisions and regulations concerning animal welfare and animal medicine, particularly the vaccination requirements for preventing Paramyxovirosis (ND - Newcastle Disease). A copy of the required vaccination certificate should preferably be added to the entry form or at the latest delivered on the secretariat during the caging. The vaccination certificate signed by a veterinarian, includes all necessary information including the individual ring numbers. We refer to models that can be found on the website of the Belgian small live stock federation www.neerhofdieren.be, in the three country languages. All animals are from their arrival until the end of the exhibition under the veterinary supervision of Dr. Carl Lambrechts vet. Sick or suspicious animals will be removed and housed in the sick barn. The decisions of the veterinary surgeon are irrevocable. There is no cost charged by a conventional isolation. However, a fee can be demanded for an intervention of the veterinary surgeon in case of euthanasia or precautions necessary in the context of the welfare of the animals. 12. Concerning housing, nutrition and health, the guidelines of the Flemish Association (VIVFN) will be followed. The organizing association will be responsible for feeding and care of the animals from the moment of caging. All cages will be provided with food and water bowls. A security service will be deployed during the exhibition. The organizing committee cannot be held responsible for damage to persons or property, or to animals, in the form of loss, illness, death, theft or accident, whatever the cause. 13. All animals must be freight paid when delivered in the exhibition space. 14. During the exhibition it is strictly forbidden to touch or tease the animals. The animals will only be taken out of the cage in the presence of a commissioner appointed for that purpose. It is forbidden to collect eggs. These will be destroyed. 15. All registered animals can be put on sale. Any sale will happen through the secretariat. The seller must indicate the selling price on the entry form. The organizing association will collect an additional 10% fee on the stated sale price. These costs are paid by the buyer. In case the seller wants no longer to sell the exhibited animals, he is obliged to pay 10% fee on the selling price made by him. Exhibitors who wish to sell animals after the caging or the judging need to pay 1,00 extra for each animal. Sale prices are in no way altered, unless mentioned in the above conditions. The sales office is open : Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 10:00 Sunday, October 23, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sold animals can be taken starting from Saturday, October 22 at 10:00. All sold animals must be taken out before 5:00 p.m on Sunday, October 23. Once the sold animals are uncaged they must be removed from the exhibition hall immediately in the company of a commissioner. 16. The participants and visitors are prohibited to open cages unless a commissioner is present. The organizing committee wants to ask explicitly for fair play by all participants. It is also prohibited to bring dogs into the exhibition hall. In the hall there is a general smoking ban. 17. Both Saturday and Sunday there is an opportunity to order a meal at the price of 13,00 per meal (soup and one drink included). It will always be a cold dish, in principle on Saturday with meat and on Sunday with fish. If desired, the order must be indicated on the entry form and payment arranged with registration fees. 18. The civil liability of the participants-exhibitors, other exhibitors and visitors compared to others is not covered by a policy. They are liable for damages they are done in the event. In this case, the cost of the repairs will be recovered on the persons concerned. For loss or theft of property from individuals or associations, fire or any damages whatsoever, In the broadest sense, the organizing club is not liable. The participants and visitors to the exhibition have to respect the fire protection rules and enforce them. 19. The delegate of the National Federation is Mr. Andy Verelst. 20. All cases not provided in these regulations will be judged by KKG, possibly in consultation with WvdA-LvA and relying on the existing regulations of exhibitions.
