Rhino Month Become part of the struggle against rhino poaching by joining us for fun filled Rhino activities. These activities will help you to understand the plight of these majestic animals. The program is from: 22 September 31 October 2012 Activities include: Catch a Rhino Poacher Go undercover as a Game Ranger and follow the trail of the Rhino poacher. Get your clue card, and collect the clues which will lead you to the poacher. Date: Every Weekend Time: 10:00-15:00 Where: Around the Zoo Keeper Talks-Rhinos Hear interesting and fascinating stories about Rhinos. Find out what makes these animals so vulnerable to humans and their impact on the eco-system. Howl oween Howl oween Join us for a frightful evening when the Zoo becomes haunted with witches, goblins, vampires and wizards. The event will be divided into 5 areas: Walk into the eerie Vampire Cave which is set in the dark with strange lights, scary sounds and creepy crawlies waiting to crawl onto your skin. Take a trip to the Devil Snake Pit if you dare, and meet some scaly friends. The Haunted House belongs to Sangomas practicing African Magic, but before you meet them they request you eat something not meant for humans. Meet some slithering snakes in the Reptile house. At fairyland you will get to meet some pretty fairies, a dancing Hippo and a Giraffe. Date: 27 October 12 Time: 17:00 Prizes will be awarded to the most scariest costume
