Planned/supported/worked at Fun Days/trials/educational events. 4th Annual Club Awards Night at Mi Amigos on July 14.. SEVEN club fun days have offered members/guests an opportunity to title their dogs for AKC Canine Good Citizenship and Advanced Canine Good Citizenship (urban). Plus, able to earn the new AKC Trick Dog Titles. The club sponsored four AKC Farm Dog Certification Tests on December 10 th with Susan Gruwell and Anita Easley judging at Iron Spoon Ranch, hosted by June Huddleston and Linda Bruzda. Linda offered herding instinct tests to many people and their dogs. (Again, super help from Cindy Meadows, Tammy Gosnell, Scott Hauert and Nancy Parks.) Barb and Tim Gates did a wonderful job of organizing/supervising the AKC Sanctioned B Herding Group Match at Iron Spoon Ranch on December 10 th. Barb has offered conformation practice at fun days, also. (Dalaine Wood was a great assistant at the match.) AKC Herding Seminar on August 11th by Herding Representative Alison Ruhe. Twenty-four participants, some from California, participated in the all day seminar about AKC herding rules and regulations. Fun Days/General Meetings/Educational Events: August 19, 2017: Third Annual Awards Banquet attended by sixteen club members. Enjoyed dining, visiting, planning club events at Mi Amigos Restaurant. Attendees received a lovely picture frame with BCCAZ logo. (Thank you Tammy Gosnell for arranging the gifts!) October 22, 2017: Fun Day at Iron Spoon Ranch, Laveen. Herding practice, instinct tests, fun games with our dogs, AKC CGC(A), AKC Trick Dog tests, Farm Dog practice, lunch and General Meeting. December 10, 2017: AKC Farm Dog Certification Tests. Offered four tests at Iron Spoon Ranch, Laveen. Thirty-nine runs were judged with twenty new FDC titles earned. December 10, 2017: AKC Sanctioned B Herding Group Match at Iron Spoon Ranch. June 9, 2018: Versatility Fun Night at MLF DogSports, Queen Creek. Agility courses, Conformation practice, Rally course practice, ten new AKC CGCs, four CGCAs, eight AKC Novice Trick Dog titles, and one Advanced Trick Dog title. Guest speaker, Dr. Diane M. Paster, who discussed and demonstrated many warm-up routines for our dogs. Thanks Diane, it was great! BBQ potluck enjoyed by all! July 14, 2018: 4th Annual BCCAZ Awards Dinner at Mi Amigos, Mesa. BCCAZ sponsored the first ever AKC D Course Herding Trial in Arizona at PSR Stockdogs on November 9th. Congratulations to Lisa Goss and Ali for earning High in Trial with a perfect score of 100 under Judge Deborah Pollard!! Dawna Sims and Sting were Reserve High in Trial! Congratulations to all of the participants and their dogs! Our next D Course trials will be in May 2019.

Section 4 of BCCAZ Constitution: Termination of Membership clause regarded lapsed dues. A member is considered lapsed and automatically terminated if their dues remain unpaid 60 days after the first of the year (Mar.1st). The Board may grant an additional 30 days grace in meritorious cases. Members are not allowed to hold office or have voting rights unless their dues have been paid. A terminated member must reapply for membership to be reinstated.

Darla s wonderful German Shepherds, Rach and Reyka showing off their ribbons! Reyka received High in Trial on her Goose run and Rach was RHIT on sheep for Herding Champions. Dawna, handler and trainer, and Rach with Deb Pollard and Ron Fischer, judges, holding Rach's High in Trial ribbons from the Herding Champion classes in Sheep and Geese on Saturday, Nov. 10. Thank you to the Australian Shepherd Fanciers of Arizona club who put this class on to see how it worked out.

Beverly shared the following accomplishments for her dog, Evan. He had another fun weekend in Dewey, chasing cattle, sheep & geese. The small blue ribbon at the top was the MOST FUN to achieve, Friday's AKC D Course, sponsored by BCCAZ & judged by Deb Pollard. A big 'Thank You' to the other judges, Lisa Edwards, & Ron Fischer, USASA, & 'Teammate/Trainer Extraordinaire", Dawna Sims. Linda: Denim was High in Trial Cattle with a score of 116 under judge Preston Kissman. This was at the Mesquite Australian Shepherd Club's trial at Wildcat Ranch, New Mexico. Friday Denim scored a 118 for 2nd place under judge Roy Sage and the HIT was 119! Your dog needs to be featured here! Send me a photo and information!!
