The owner or any other person may handle dogs in this class. A person may handle more than one dog in this class, but each dog must have a separate handler for the Long Down exercise when judged in the same group. Dogs entered in Graduate Novice may also be entered in one of the Novice or Open classes The Veterans' class will be for dogs that have an obedience title and are at least seven years old on the date of the trial. The exercises will be performed and judged as in the Novice class. Dogs may be entered in another class or classes. Ribbons and Prizes: A qualifying score will not be required to earn ribbons and prizes in any non-regular Class. GENERAL CONDITIONS Dog means either sex. Each dog handled in a regular Junior Showmanship Class must be entered and shown in one of the Breed or Obedience Classes at the show, or must be entered for Junior Showmanship only. Each dog must be owned by the junior Handler or by the Junior Handler s father, mother, sister, uncle, aunt, grandfather or grandmother; including the corresponding step and half relations, or by a member of the Junior Handler s household. Every dog entered for Junior Showmanship must be eligible to compete in Dog Shows or in Obedience Trials. A dog that has been excused or disqualified by a Breed Judge or by a Bench Show Committee may still be handled in Junior Showmanship if eligible to compete in Obedience Trials. A dog that has been rejected, dismissed, or excused by the Veterinarian for the protection of the other dogs at the show or for the protections of the dog excused may not be handled in Junior Showmanship. Winner of a third First Place in each Novice Class shall automatically become eligible to enter in the corresponding Open Class at this show, provided that there are one or more Junior Handlers competing in that Open Class. Winning of First Place in an Open Junior Showmanship Class at the show may qualify or count toward qualification for entry in certain future limited Junior Showmanship Classes. JUDGES WILL NOT WAIT FOR ANY DOG HOLDING UP A CLASS. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. The show-giving club has no obligation or responsibility for providing service through a public address system or stewards or runners for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought into the ring when required. ALL DOGS PRESENT must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising ring. ADMISSION: Free NOTE Foreign dogs are eligible for Puppy Classes and Open Classes, effective January 1, 1985. NO SPACE WILL BE PROVIDED FOR UN-ENTERED DOGS. DUE TO THE NUMBER OF CRATES AND GROOMING TABLES, chairs will not be allowed in the grooming area. NO CHALKING WILL BE PERMITTED INSIDE THE BUILDING. EXHIBITORS MUST BE GOVERNED by any rules or regulations of civil authorities, building and parking restrictions. Vehicles parked contrary to regulations will be subject to towing at owner s expense. SURRENDER OF IDENTIFICATION CARD must be made to the check clerk for removing dogs from the show, if requested. -10-
