Time for a recapitulation of a super-fast comeback to the front We are writing about 2007 when Marcel Sangers made a deal with Cees Suykerbuyk (known champion who brought those pigeons so as James Bond and Glamourboy to great heights) concerning the sale of his house. The move was planned for the winter 2007/2008, but Cees allowed him to keep a large group of Sangers youngsters in his lofts so that he could race them as yearlings in 2008 Marcel or Christel travelled twice a day to the new address to coach these youngsters and test them thoroughly in the races for youngsters Despite the far from ideal situation, they managed to achieve a number of appealing results: 1. and 2. Amari The 1. and 2. Ace pigeon youngsters were respectively NL07-1445510 'Alumit' (grandchild wonder pair Fast as Lightning x Miss Geniality ) and NL07-1445456 'Amari' (out father Lazer Gun x Sister Mister Ermerveen ), where from the last pigeon especially made an impact on the Sangers performances over the following years. New accommodation in 2008 In January 2008 the existing accommodation was completely demolished and a new pigeon paradise was erected in the Kerklaan in Eefde following the example of the lofts in Zutphen from which Marcel established his name once and for all as National wonder man. Even now (anno 2010) I am still adjusting the loft to create the optimal climate I always find something to improve on my idea that it takes five years before a new place is optimal is certainly no miscalculation. However performances were directly achieved in 2008. The team of yearlings passed the test of the brand new loft with flying colours The scores in 2008 with the yearlings don t lie with the 1. Ablis (511 km) in region against 2.491 pigeons, also 4. NPO Ablis against 5.307 pigeons... and the 1. and 2. Arras (318 km) in region against 7.572 pigeons as the highlights. Yeti t was mainly the youngsters born and bred in the new paradise which announced a successful future with sublime performances!! So as 1. and 6. Boxtel (88 km) in region against 7.753 pigeons 1.-2.-3.-4.-5.-6. Boxtel (88 km) District Zutphen against 3.025 pigeons 1.-2.-3.-4. Pommeroeul (258 km) in region against 5.964 pigeons 1. and 2. Peronne (340 km) District Zutphen against 1.103 pigeons; also 7. and 8. NPO Peronne 23.000 pigeons 1. Pommeroeul (258 km) in District Zutphen against 1.906 pigeons have figures ever said more about a glorious future waiting for these growing diamonds?? Fast Red The wonder man NL08-1174967 Fast Red also presented himself in that period as direct son of Fast as Lightning x Miss Geniality and was immediately spectacular as a youngster!! The red phenomenon shone with the 7. NPO and 23. NPO that year to then return as a yearling in 2009, winning the 1. NPO Chateaudun! His resplendent career achieved a new climax in 2010 with the 7. Kleine Blauwe Youngster which was bred in 2007 and as a yearling in 2008 was intense with the 1. Ablis (511 km) in region against 2.491 pigeons, also 4. NPO, the NL07-1445485 'Kleine Blauwe'. Magnificent blue cock, which became a fixture in the tough NPO 1-day races and shined once again in 2010 with the 7. NPO Blois which did wonders for his honours list in the NPO-classics: 4. Buddahari Where Tom managed to get into the many spotlights with the 5. prov. Ace pigeon extreme middle distance and 5. Ace pigeon extreme middle distance NU in 2010, then we certainly shouldn t underestimate the yearling NL09-1905531 Buddahari as she fought so hard in the three Nationals, that it delivered her the title of 1. Ace pigeon extreme middle distance in the NU so as stated, a discipline in which 34.294 pigeons appeared at the start and with the 6. place in the National Ace pigeons NPO in the extreme middle distance, her honours list in these Nationals makes your mouth water: 4. Zone II Orleans against 3.872 pigeons (5. total 9.968 pigeons) 28. Zone II Bourges against 8.875 pigeons (79. total 18,277 pigeons) 39. Zone II Blois against 4.109 pigeons (148. total 10.744 pigeons ) Earlier in 2010 this topper also won the 58. NPO Chateaudun against 7.464 pigeons Buddahari is a daughter of Alvino, breeding cock out the wondrous Charley (son Kleine Dirk x Amoré ) x The Golden Crown (2x 1. over 14.000 pigeons) times Elfie, out the whopper and 6x 1. prize winner Hayabusa King x Christel, once again out Kleine Dirk x Amoré. A crossing then of the absolute stock pigeons from Marcel and so an ultimate Sangers product. De Rauw-Sablon The future? The Sangers-pigeon is ready for it!! With the introduction of a few pigeons from the noble De Rauw-Sablon pedigree, Marcel even dares to think a step ahead to the races of 700 of even 800 km in one day, races then which the people in the Netherlands don t yet have. But marvellous and if they come I want to be ready for them. In Belgium the De Rauw-Sablon pigeons dominate these classics and because it is an inbred family, they could cross excellently with my own strain. Marcel obtained two children from Freddy by Pros Roosen, a grandson of Perpignan and Marseille as well as a
daughter of Bak 17 Marcel Aelbrecht. Not much then, but rare class indeed!
