Crating space is limited if you are running multiple dogs you MUST BE ABLE TO STACK YOUR CRATES. Trials will be held indoors in climate controlled building. * Dogs will not necessarily be run in height order. Dogs being handled by the same person will be separated into different staged groups. * Any dog of any breed or mix, six months of age or older, may participate in Barn Hunt Trials. The only limitation is that the dog must be able to fit through an 18 wide by approximately 22 high tunnel made of straw/hay bales. * Bitches in season (BIS) MAY compete at Barn Hunt trials. They will be run at the end of each class. They must wear pants/britches at all times when not being pottied, including on the course. Owners of BIS should crate/confine their dogs away from traffic and other dogs, should post dog in season signs on their crate/in their area, and potty the dog away from other competitors. Owners of BIS should make their condition known to the Trial Secretary prior to arrival, if possible. Entry fees for bitches that come into season will be refunded until closing time of the trial if you wish to withdraw. After the trial closes, entry fees will not be refunded * Height Divisions: Small, Dogs 13 & under; Medium, Dogs 13.1 to 18 ; Large, Dogs over 18. Dogs are measured at the option of the judge.. * Possessing or training with personal, live quarry is not permitted on the show grounds at any time. * The use of flexi-leads on the show grounds is not permitted during show hours. * All dogs must be on leash at all times except when in the ring for judging. You must be mindful of other exhibitors and keep your dog within 1 foot of you at all times, use a one foot walking lead. Trial Chair reserves the right to issue you a walking lead or request you keep your dog in your car except when being judged. * Exhibitors are responsible to clean up after their dogs. * Exhibitors are responsible for being ready to go to the blind area, and waiting for the call to the gate when it is their turn to run. The judge need not wait for any dog holding up a class. The club has no obligation or responsibility for providing service through a public address system or steward for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought to the ring when required. Your failure to be in the blind or staging area when called will result in a forfeited run. * Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms. * These trials are being held indoors in a climate controlled building. There will be crating areas. Please be considerate of your crating neighbors. Please make sure your crate is secure as the dogs may be highly excited. If your dog is overly excited, please do not leave him/her unattended. * Family Pet Obedience School, LLC officers and members, assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, spectators, or to any of their dogs, property, or children. * Family Pet Obedience School, LLC reserves the right to refuse any entry for any reason. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED FOR ALL TRIALS AT ALL LEVELS The best way to learn the sport of BARN HUNT is to volunteer!! Please sign up to work. For these tests to run smoothly we would appreciate your help. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. We will be glad to train you. We will ensure the schedule is adjusted to allow time for all volunteers to run their own dogs. If you can help with any of the following please return the form below with your entry or email the trial chair, Tammy Roberts, familypet@mindspring.com to volunteer. If you are available to volunteer you will a volunteer workers raffle will be held, with workers earning one raffle ticket for each blind worked.
