RESULT / UITSLAG LEEU GAMKA 20 AUG 2017 524 KM Die Leeu Gamka wedvlug het weereens sy reputasie as n baie harde wedvlug gestand gedoen. Met n wenspoed van 1054 m/min was dit die harde duiwe wat hierdie keer die voortou geneem het. Die besluit om die wedvlug te skuif was baie moeilik, maar definitief die regte besluit. Met n stormsterkte Suidooster op Vrydag sou ons eerstens n groot aantal jongduiwe verloor wat dan nie aan die finaal kon deelneem nie en tweedens sou dit weereens n bitter vinnige wedvlug meebring, wat nie die duiwe in die hok goed sou toets nie. As jy kyk na die uitslae van die spankompetisie kan jy duidelik sien watter deelnemers die harder duiwe ingeskryf het. (Die volledige spankompetisieuitslag is beskikbaar op www.centralprovincialloft.co.za) Gaan kyk gerus. Dit is baie interressant. Ook in die Ace Pigeon kompetisie het n paar duiwe in die hek geduik. Die voorloper van Andre Geldenhuys het afgeskuif na die 39ste posisie en Hannes Oosthuizen van Bethlehem se Grietjie sit nou effentjies in die eersteplek met Jan en John van den Bos se Bos 14 op haar stertvere. In die spankompetisie sit Jan en John van den Bos lekker stewig in die saal en dit lyk nie asof hulle hierdie jaar onttroon gaan word nie. Tussen die ander deelnemers kan enigiets nog gebeur. Drie goeie posisies in die finaal kan enige van die eerste 10 nog opskuif na die tweedeplek. Enigiets is egter moontlik so kom ons kyk of Wagibiki die nodige punte kan inoes om die eersteplek in te neem en of enige van die ander Wagibiki in die tweedeplek kan onttroon. Baie geluk aan al die pryswenners. The Leeu Gamka race once again sustained its reputation as a very hard race. With a winning speed of 1054 m / min it was the harder pigeons that this time took the lead. The decision to move the race was very difficult, but definitely the right decision. With a gale strength South Easter on Friday we would firstly lose a large number of young pigeons who could not compete in the final and secondly, it would once again be a fast race, which would not be a good test for the pigeons in the loft. If you look at the results of the team competition, you can clearly see which participants entered the harder pigeons. (The full team competition results are available at www.centralprovincialloft.co.za). Please check. It is very interesting. In the Ace Pigeon competition a few pigeons lost their positions. The forerunner of Andre Geldenhuys moved down to the 39th position and Hannes Oosthuizen of Bethlehem's Grietjie is now in the first place with Jan and John van den Bos' Bos 14 right on her tail feathers. In the team competition, Jan and John van den Bos are now sitting firmly in the first position and it would not be easy to dethrone them. Anything however can happen. Three good positions in the final may move any of the first 10 into the second place. So let's see if Wagibiki can make the necessary points to take the first place and if any of the others can overtake Wagibiki and secure the second place. Congratulations to all the prize winners.

Acclaimed Performer van De Vries Hokke (teler Lou de Jager), wat verlede jaar die finaal gewen het en 3de Ace Pigeon was, toon egter dat party duiwe goed doen, ten spyte van afstand en spoed. Twee grizzle duiwe is besig om hulleself hierdie jaar te bewys. Grizzle Flyer van Trevor Rous en Dries Ferreira as Jaaroud 8ste ACE Pigeon, het weereens bewys dat die harde wedvlugte haar beter pas, terwyl Secco Lofts se Grizzle tans in die eersteplek van die Ope ACE Pigeons sit. In die Ope spankompetisie is Cooper en Pretorius en Webster Lofts nou kop aan kop. Watter span gaan koning kraai en sal Berg en Bredenhand hulle inhaal in die finaal? The Opens handled the very hard race much better and again a few new pigeons emerged on the leader board, while some of the previous winners in the faster races also did well. Acclaimed Performer of De Vries Hokke (breeder Lou de Jager), who won the open final as well as 3rd Ace Pigeon in, showed that some pigeons will do well, despite distance or speed. In the Opens two grizzle pigeons are proving themselves this year. Grizzle Flyer of Trevor Rous and Dries Ferreira - 8th Yearling ACE Pigeon, once again proved that the harder races suits her better, while Secco Lofts's Grizzle is currently in the first place of the Open ACE Pigeons.
