CLASSES ALL DAYS REGULAR CLASSES (all days) 6-9 months puppy ~ 9-12 months puppy 12-18 months ~ Novice ~ Amateur Owner-Handler Bred By Exhibitor ~ American Bred ~ Open Best of Breed NON-REGULAR CLASSES (Involving single-dog entries) Winners of these classes are ELIGIBLE to compete for Best of Breed. VETERAN: for salukis 7 years of age, or older, on the day of the show. Spayed or neutered dogs may compete in this class. COURSING: for salukis that are AKC registered and are confirmed AKC or ASFA Field Champions, Coursing Champions or Coursers of Merit. Exhibitors must supply proof of title at time of entry. (A copy of the certificate awarding the title, or a copy of the entire page from either the AKC gazette or FAN magazine publishing the title, will be accepted as proof.) First place winners in this class are eligible for Best of Breed competition, providing all AKC eligibility requirements have been met, and providing dog is undefeated in any other class. NON-REGULAR CLASSES (Involving multiple-dog entries) Winners of these classes are NOT ELIGIBLE to compete for Best of Breed STUD DOG: For Stud Dogs and no more than two (2) of their get. Get must be entered in a regular class at this show. The award is based on the merit of the get. LOSS OR DAMAGE 1 MANAGEMENT IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LOSS OF, DAMAGE TO, OR DEATH OF ANY DOG EXHIBITED OR FOR THE POSSESSIONS OF ANY PARTICIPANT WHETHER THE RESULT OF ACCIDENT OF ANY OTHER CAUSE. ATTENTION EXHIBITORS 1 The show site will be available to exhibitors on Friday, February 18th, 2012. Times will be posted in the judging schedule. 2 Violations of rules and regulations or inappropriate behavior towards Windermere Hotel employees, security staff, show committee and officials or fellow exhibitors may subject any participant in this event to disciplinary action by the show committee. CRATING, SETUPS, AND EXERCISE AREAS 1 Dog equipment, or personal items left on the showgrounds are the responsibility of each exhibitor. Neither the show giving club nor Windermere Hotel is responsible for lost or stolen dogs or equipment. 2 Crating space is provided on a first come, first serve basis. ROPING OFF UNUSED CRATING SPACE IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED AND WILL BE REMOVED BY THE SHOW COMMITTEE. The show committee reserves the right to require the stacking of crates and any other remedies it may deem necessary for the consolidation of space. 3 Temporary crating at ringside is allowed in designated areas and will be strictly enforced. 4COMBINED CLUB INFORMATION BROOD BITCH: For Brood Bitches and no more than two (2) of their produce. Produce must be entered in a regular class at this show. The award is based on the merit of the produce. The Stud Dog or Brood Bitch must appear in the right with the get/produce and be entered in the class. Spayed and neutered may compete. The owner of the Stud Dog or Brood Bitch does not need to be the owner of the get/produce. Stud Dog and Get/Brood Bitch and produce comprise ONE entry. BRACE CLASS: Shall be for two (2) salukis, regardless of sex, with at least ONE owner the same. At least one brace saluki must be entered in a regular class, Best of Breed competition, or in some non-regular class other than Brace. Those desiring to show in Brace Class must write BRACE on the entry form in the space provided for Additional Classes. If more than one brace is entered by the same owner, the dogs comprising each brace must be designated as BRACE #1, Brace #2, etc. Spayed or neutered salukis may compete in this class. EXTENDED GENERATION CLASS: Entry must be made up of a minimum of 3 generations of Salukis with one descendant from each successive generation, i.e. Dogs A, B, C. A is the sire/dam of B, and B is the sire/dam of C. Only two representatives from each generation are allowed. Judge's decision to be based on merit and likeness of Get. Offspring must be entered in a Regular Class, Non-regular Class or Best of Breed Competition, to be entered in this class. First Place only will be awarded in this class. COMBINED CLUB INFORMATION BRED BY EXHIBITOR REGULATIONS: Effective as of Sept. 18, 2002. "The Bred-by-Exhibitor Class shall be for dogs that are: Six months of age or older as of the first day of the show; Not Champions of Record on the date of closing of entries for the show; Individually registered with The American Kennel Club as of the date of closing of entries for the show; Owned or co-owned by any of the breeders of record as of the date of the closing of entries for the show. The person showing the dog in this class must be one of the breeders of record AND one of the owners of record of this dog.in any subsequent classes for which a dog from the Bred-by-Exhibitor Class becomes eligible, there are no restrictions as to who may handle. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS This show is governed by the American Kennel Club. Exhibitors should read the AKC agreement on the back side of the entry blank in the Premium List. ADDITIONAL RULES, ENTRY INFORMATION 1 Fees must accompany entries. This club and/or it s superintendent assume no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or agent of the owner. This club and it s superintendent assume no responsibility for the owner or the owner s agent entering a dog in a class in which the dog is not eligible to complete, or for entering the same dog twice. 2 Entry fees will NOT be refunded if a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by veterinarian or judge, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund of the entry fee for bitches in season; bitches entered for breed competition are eligible to be shown. There is no refund for duplicate entries. 3 Declination of Entries. The Kennel Club may decline any entries for cause and may refuse to receive or may remove any dog on account of disease, viciousness or other causes and no one shall have any claim or recourse against the Kennel Club or any official thereof. 4 If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund will be made. Effective for all shows held on or after July 1, 1980, dogs which according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a championship after the closing of entries for a show, but whose championships are unconfirmed, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to Best of Breed or Variety competition, provided this transfer is made by the Superintendent at least one half hour before the start of any regular conformation judging at the show. JUDGING 1 Judging will start promptly. During the hours of judging, owners are to be on call, and have their dogs ready to bring into the judging ring promptly, in order that all judging will not be delayed. Dogs need only to be present for their judging. Dogs not needed for further judging may be excused. DO NOT BRING ANY DOGS THAT ARE NOT ENTERED. There is no provision for unentered dogs at this show. 2 It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have his dog ready to be shown and at the entrance of the judging ring when the steward calls for the class. Owners or agents of the dog alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. There is no rule that requires a judge to wait for a late dog. 3 All dogs must be on leash at all times while on show premises, except when in an exercise pen. 4 All prizes will be awarded in the ring. The club reserves the right to substitute any trophy with one of greater or equal value if conditions make it necessary. SWEEPSTAKES ALL DAYS PUPPY SWEEPSTAKES (CHAMPIONS OF RECORD MAY COMPETE) Entry fee...... $10.00 Open to all Salukis who, on the day of the show, will be six (6) months and under twenty four (24) months of age. Entries in Puppy Sweeps must be entered in a regular class in this show. Entries shall be made at the same time on the same entry form used for the regular class.
