POULTRY & PIGEONS Show Regulations and Prize List for 2018 1. The classes are open to all, except where specified to the contrary. 2. All entries must be made on the printed forms supplied by the Secretary, which must be logged on or before 14 July. The full amount of Entry fees must in every case accompany the entries. Receipt of labels must be accepted as acknowledgement of entry. 3. Exhibits entered in a wrong class will be necessarily excluded from competition and entry fee for unoccupied pens will be forfeited. 4. No exhibit to compete in more than one class. 5. The committee reserve the power to refuse entries, in which case the entry fee will be returned. The Judge will be empowered to with-hold any prize where there does not appear to be sufficient merit. His decision in all cases will be final. 6. Exhibits are not allowed to leave the showfield until 4.30pm. Assistance with transport will be given at boxing up time. 7. Judging to commence at 10.00am. All exhibits to be penned before 9.30am. 8. No persons are allowed in the marquee whilst judging is in progress. 9. All exhibits must have been the bona-fide property of the exhibitor for at least three months previous to the date of the Show, and no notice of any description can be placed over the exhibits, except with the approval of the steward. 10. The Judges appointed to award the prize will be instructed to disqualify any pen they may consider to have been tampered, or improperly dealt with and no appeal from the decision will be entertained on any ground whatsoever. Any exhibitor detected in fraudulent practice shall forfeit all, or any prize or Special which my have been awarded him or her and the entry fee in such cases will not be returned. 11. If any dispute arises, a protest and deposit of 5.00 must be made before 2pm on the Show day, and lodged with the Secretary who will submit the case to the Committee, from whose decision no appeals will be allowed. Should any protest not be sustained the deposit will be forfeited to the funds of the Society. 12. Any person found touching or handling exhibits or attempting to impose upon the Society in any way, will render any prizes to which he or she is entiitled, liable to be forfeited. 13. Only litter provided by the Society to be used in pens. 14. All prize money to be collected from the Poultry Marquee on the day of the show. If not collected it will be treated as a donation to the Society. 15. Each exhibitor may enter a maximum of three birds in each poultry class. 16. There are 350 poultry cages, which will be allocated strictly on a first come first served basis. 17. There are 200 pigeon cages, which will be allocated stricly on a first come first served basis.
