Please inform the stake marshal if your bitch is in season. WC Performance Requirements: LRC rules apply everything else PRLRC rules apply. Running Order: We do our best to post the running order on www.prlrc.org or will be emailed prior to the test. Rules: PeeWee/Novice A Nose for the Birds (for vaccinated dogs 12 wks & up must have rabies certificate) Obstacle course of natural items to use for a scent trail to encourage the fun and interest of birds. Our judges have designed this program to ensure success. Your pup will love to retrieve. Bumpers, wings, ducks and other items will be used. Dogs entered in PeeWee/Novice cannot be entered in the WC, WCI, WCX. Time to be announced. Ribbons awarded to all participants. Limit to 15 dogs. Senior Singles: Ages 10 yrs and up. One single land retrieve of either a bird, bumper or dokken. Prizes awarded categories TBA. Limited to 15 dogs. PRLRC Test for all retrievers: Pass/Fail - Dogs must be minimum of 6 months old WC Test: The dog will retrieve one single dead bird at approximately 50 yards on land in light cover. The dog must not be gun shy. The dog will retrieve two dead ducks from water as back-to-back singles to show willingness to reenter the water. The dog need not be steady, so a dog may be held on the line by the collar. Delivery to hand is not required, but it is suggested that the area of delivery be within easy reach of the handler. This area will be determined by the judge prior to the beginning of the test. Dogs must be at least six months of age. Immediate failure if bird boy has to help or assist dog. Popper guns, wingers and duck calls will be used. It is acceptable to encourage the dog to return via voice. WCI: Double on land and double on water, 75-100 yard retrieves, moderate cover, decoys, no blind, on lead honor, not gun shy, steady off lead, delivery to hand, boat may be used, proper hunting attire or dark clothing required. Live flyer may be used. WCX: Triple on land and triple on water or land-water, 75-100 yard retrieves, 50-75 yard blind(s) on land and/or water (outside the marks), diversion shot, duck calls, decoys, off lead honor, not gun shy, steady off lead, delivery to hand, boat may be used, proper hunting attire or dark clothing required. Live flyer may be used. *Same dog can be entered in multiple tests (WC, WCI & WCX) with separate entry fees for each test.
Agreement I (we) agree that the club holding this test has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem to be sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of the test and of the opportunity to have this dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, and/or trophies, I (we) agree to hold this club, it s members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or Test Secretary and the owner or leaser of the premises and any employees of the aforementioned parties, harmless from any claim for the loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or things by the act of this dog while in or upon the test premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further indemnify the above mentioned groups from any claim for loss of this dog by disappearance, theft, damage or injury caused or alleged to be caused by the negligence of the club or any of the parties aforementioned, or by the negligence of any other person, or any other cause or causes. I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and indemnify and hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting from, or sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves) or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this test, however such injuries, death or damage to property may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by negligence of the aforementioned parties, any of their employees or agents or any other person.
