Cavaliers of the West 07/03/15, Oakland, CA Judge: Rick Aldous (Aranel) Junior Puppy Dog (5) 1. Rockcreek Mark Me First At Hiflt (Parris/Steagall) Really smart heavily marked Blenheim with a sweet nicely proportioned head for his age. Large round dark eyes, black pigment and good teeth. Correct earset with decent fringes. Lovely make and shape with ample neck, a short coupled level back and tail carriage. Super angles all round and moderately boned. Carries himself well with ideal movement once settled, showing an outgoing character. Best Puppy Dog, Best Puppy in Show 2. Brookhaven Here Comes Hogan (Ayers/Martz) Quality well marked Blenheim of good type. Appealing masculine head with good pigment and teeth, large round dark eyes and a soft expression. Good to go over with a moderate neck, short back and balanced outline. Liked his angles and bone and he moved well and attentive to his handler. 3. Kolaci Magic Cinnamon Spice (Legerretta/Gray) Ruby with a broad head, dark eyes and gentle look. Full muzzle and pigment. Decently constructed with a short level back, good bone and angled quarters giving a neat outline. Moved out well. 4. Delsol One More Look At Quail Run (Kornhi/Wells) Blenheim of good overall quality. Correct head and muzzle with large round dark eyes and pigment. Richly marked coat in great condition. Well made and as such, moved very soundly. Just needs more confidence. Senior Puppy Dog (6) 1. Bonitos Companeros Watch Me (Mitchell) Pretty but masculine broad headed Blenheim. Good muzzle, pigment and teeth. Large round dark expressive eyes. Moderate neck carried well into a good lay of shoulders and short back. Rich chestnut markings. Fluent on the move with a firm topline, correct tail carriage and exuberant temperament. Harrington Haute Stuff (Tompkins/Gonyo) Pleasing overall Blenheim with a nicely marked body and very good construction. Moderate neck and angles in all quarters. Moved true and a balanced outline. Correct head with muzzle in proportion and large round eyes but would prefer a softer look which should come with age. 3. Tudorr Checkmate (Mixon/Cline) Typey headed Blenheim with soft large round dark eyes. Broad skull and muzzle but unexaggerated with well set on ears. Moderate neck, well laid shoulders and good turn of stifles. Carries substance and bone. Movement was ok but quite unsettled, affecting his topline and tail carriage. Very nice dog though. 4. Jolly Jouet Du Jardin De Claire Of Sumara (Gentil) Neat black and tan. A gentle head and eyes with decent ears and set and rich tan markings. Nice to go over with correct angles, neck and topline on a short coupled balanced body. Just lacks masculinity right now. Graduate Puppy Dog (4) 1. You re My Sunshine Vom Kaninchengarten (Hansen) Blenheim of excellent quality. Beautiful type head with large round dark lustrous eyes, moderate muzzle, correct bite and black pigmentation. Ears set well framing a completely unexaggerated and clean appealing face. His construction is equally good with a moderate neck flowing into a level back with pleasing angles front and rear. Moderate bone and substance. Movement is ideal, he carries himself with style and personality. Everything fitting neatly together, he gives a lovely outline topped with a beautiful marked coat of quality and condition. A well deserved Winners Dog, Best in Show, Best Blenheim in Show. 2. Ivyline Untamed Confection (Giampapa) Another typey Blenheim. Masculine and balanced appealing head, expressive eyes, good pigment and teeth. Ears set correctly. Well made and attractive outline with a rich heavy marked coat. Carrying a level topline and sound in movement. Ample bone and substance. With a likeable disposition, a really nice dog. 3. Sheeba Highlander (Tegg) Blenheim with correct head containing large round dark eyes and good pigment with long ear fringes. Well constructed with decent angles, bone and a short body, he moves out well holding a level topline but his tail higher than I d like. 4. Ivyline Toblerone (Bradley) Nice headed Blenheim with large round dark eyes and pretty expression. Made ok and moved ok with moderate angles, short back and good bone. A rich chestnut colouring but lacks substance. Bred By Exhibitor Dog (2) 1. Ch Dreamvale Motley Crue, JW (Sage/Colbert) Blenheim of appealing type. and a cobby body of substance and moderate bone. Positive and fluent on the move. Rich chestnut colouring and straight coat put down in good condition. Quality boy of an ideal size too. 2. Bentwood Cartier (Covell/Harrison) Blenheim with an appealing broad head and muzzle and large round dark pretty eyes framed by well fringed ears. Nicely constructed, he has an attractive neck, level back and good quarters. Heavy marked coat but nice condition. Moved confidently with a likeable temperament. American Bred Dog (4) 1. Delsol One More Night (McHenry) Liked this Blenheim overall. He has a broad skull and widthy muzzle with lovely expressive big round dark eyes spaced well apart. Black pigment and ears set right. Liked his firm well constructed body. Neck, shoulders, topline and angulation all good. Short in loin and decent bone. Moved sound and positive with a touch of flair showing a clean outline highlighted by his showy personality. The only negative being his high tail carriage at times. Best Bred By Exhibitor Dog 2. Mimric Moves Like Jagger, JW (Painter/Hodges) This Blenheim was close up to 1 st. A quality exhibit having a masculine head but not over done in any way. Large round dark eyes with a soft almost soulful look. Good pigmentation and bite. Pleasing body and well angulated all through. He has a compact and neat outline and level back with a heavy marked jacket that was presented in super condition. Moved as well as #1 but just preferred the overall balance of the 1 st place. 3. Belcarra Straight Shot Remington Of Bear River Ranch (Toepfer) Well marked Blenheim and rich in colour. Correct in head with broadness containing large round dark eyes with a pleasant expression. Has a moderate neck and adequate angulation. Gives a pleasing outline and moved ok with a decent topline and good tail. 4. Great lay of shoulders and angulated rear. Liked him on the move, he has good reach front and rear holding a level topline. Rich colour and in decent condition. Just prefer him shorter for ideal balance. 2. Covington Hopjack At Kendallkastle (Ogle) Close up again with his appealing and typey broad head and large round dark kind looking eyes. Ears, pigment and teeth all ok. Good construction with a moderate neck, short level back and all round angulation. As such he moves soundly and effortlessly. A good colour but would have liked a tad more animation. 3. Angel s Pride Just A Gigolo Of Sumara, JW (Gentil) Another quality boy with a typey masculine head and large round dark eyes with the desired gentle expression.
