Cavaliers of the Northeast 06/12/2016, Clinton, NJ Philip Carthy, Ardgrove, Ireland I would most sincerely like to thank the Cavaliers of the Northeast for inviting me to judge at their show. To Joe and Betty Ann for the smooth running of the show and for such a great venue. To my ring steward, Mandy, for keeping the ring running smoothly throughout the day. To all the exhibitors who showed their dogs under me and accepting my decisions so gracefully. I had some wonderful exhibits to go over and the overall presentation was second to none. I was pleased with all my class winners who possessed good breed type with good movement. Heads were very pleasing as was front movement but there were too many gay tails and weak rear ends. Cavaliers are a toy Spaniel and should have good muscle tone, which, when lacking, results in weak rears. I had the privilege to judge a 15 year old boy who enjoyed his final weekend of shows and what a way to finish taking Best Veteran in Show twice over the weekend. A credit to his Breeders.
