Cavaliers of the Northeast 08/08/09, Clinton, NJ Judge: Mandy Mulligan (Nightingale) Jr Puppy D (5) 1. Chadwick Finlaggan (Cipoletti/Eckersley) Blenheim puppy just turned 5 months old. Sweet and pleasing head and expression. Correct round eyes that are nice and dark. Lovely neck into well laid shoulders. Moved with level topline and correct tailset. Rich color and nicely marked. He did not show well today, and needs to practice. I was happy to see that he improved in the ring the following day. Promising puppy. 2. Brookhaven Strategic Alianz of Falling Springs (Curley/Ireland) Lovely ruby boy with a sweet face. I liked the amount of bone this puppy has for it s age at 8 months. Nice shape and good topline on the move. He could use a little more weight to complete the picture. 3. Darane Boys Don t Cry (Kates) Adorable young tri boy with pretty head. Another baby at 5 months that looks to be a promising pup. Moved well and with confidence. Showed the best in the class. 4. Taron Mugsy Malone (Mitchell) Larger black and tan boy that showed very well today. Attractive head, moved well. A little high in the rear at this stage of development. Sr Puppy D (7) 1. Milkeyn Sheer Inspiration (Eckersley) Loved this puppy. A very complete package at just 11 months. He moved and showed with style and confidence. Strongest mover in the class carried a level topline and has correct tail set and carriage. Attractive head with large eyes. Lovely neck and correct shoulder angle. Nice deep chest with plenty of heart room. Well muscled and shown in excellent condition. Best Puppy Dog, Best Sr Puppy, Best Puppy in Show 2. Jayba Pucker Up (Lander) Beautiful richly colored Blenheim puppy also with lovely movement. Sweetest head with wonderful expression. He is short coupled with excellent spring of rib and very well muscled hindquarters. Correct hind angulation, and he moves with drive. Well let down hocks. Being a bit naughty today. It was very close between #1 and #2 for me. 3. Forestcreek Beaux at Valleyriver (Hill) Cute short coupled Blenheim boy that is nicely marked. Well proportioned with short back and good angulation. Sweet face with nice large eyes. Beautiful straight coat. 4. Orchardhill Home By Dark (Sage/Venier) Another nice puppy in a very good class. Really liked his head and expression. Well built, but a little longer cast than the three before. Moves well. Beautiful deep color. Very flashy puppy. Jr Puppy B (8) 1. Denham Dreamed About (Maddox) Adorable ruby girl 8 months. Goes around the ring like a little freight train. Beautiful mover with drive and extension. Gorgeous, expressive head leading to lovely neck with crest and well angled shoulders. Good proportions with ample bone and substance. Correct topline and tailset. Shown in beautiful condition. Lovely puppy. Best Puppy Bitch, Best Jr Puppy 2. Marshelle I m No Angel (Gogol/Stout) Pretty Blenheim bitch with feminine head and very sweet expression. Perfect little spot and well placed ears finish the picture. Another nice neck and well laid shoulders. Short coupled, well angled. Moved nicely and shown well. 3. Darane Just Like Heaven (Kates) Precious little tri girl just 5 months. Moved and showed well for her age. Good topline. Sweet face with pretty eyes. Lovely markings. Full of herself, lots of promise. 4. Mileslip Walking On Sunshine (Skidmore) Pretty black and tan with a beautiful head. Her sweet face and expression got my attention right away. She moved well and showed well. A little high in the rear at the moment. A lot to like with her. Sr Puppy B (1) 1. Orchardhill Ingenue (Venier) Really pretty Blenheim, ultra feminine in beautiful long, straight coat. Head shape is lovely with nice eyes and perfect ear set framing her face. Lovely crested neck and well laid shoulders. Topline looks better on the move than standing when she has a tendency to lean back and dip behind the shoulders. Very showy, lovely puppy. Grad Puppy D (3) 1. Charnell Cosmopolitan, JW (Herring) This young dog impressed me from the moment he walked in the ring. Going over him on the table sealed the deal for me. Beautifully proportioned and balanced boy. Short coupled, nice depth of chest, well muscled hindquarters, proper angles, wonderful shape. He moves with drive and style. Level topline and correct tailset and carriage. Beautiful head with lovely large dark eyes. So expressive and so sweet. He was shown in wonderful coat and condition. He showed so well for his handler. I was very pleased to award him Reserve Winners Dog and Reserve Best in Show. 2. Jayba Gentlemens Quarterly (Crane) Another nice Blenheim dog similar in type to the #1. Moved well with drive. Not so happy in the ring and was pulling on the lead which affected his movement somewhat. Nice bone and substance. Masculine head with lovely eyes. Well angled front and back. Very promising. 3. Windham Lost Sailor (McCauley/Hashagen) Very attractive ruby dog with deep rich color. Nice head with high ear placement. Moved nicely carrying a level topline. Today, not the substance of the first two. Novice D (1) 1. Chadwick Seafarer

Very promising young dog. 2. Marshelle Take My Breath Away (Stout/Gogol) Another super nice Blenheim dog. Short coupled with good spring of rib, nice shoulders, good reach of neck. Moved well and felt good to go over on the table. He has a lovely head with huge dark eyes. Deep rich color shown in good coat and condition. Another that should mature nicely. 3. Jayba Moose Tracks at Huntland (Land/Lander) Third really nice Blenheim dog in a tough class. I liked all three of these boys. Attractive head with nice neck and shoulder placement. Level topline, moved nicely. Good bone and substance. Showed well and was presented in good coat and condition. Am Bred D (3) 1. Ave Art In The Park at Woodbury (Redniss) Attractive Blenheim dog that I have admired previously. Good type and shape, short coupled. He looks great on the move. Flying Colors Doc Holiday (Darr) Blenheim dog with a lovely head, large dark eyes, and high ear set that just frames his face. Another nice moving dog. A longer cast dog that sometimes loses his topline while standing. Not the same substance at this time as the winner, but he is a young dog that should mature nicely. He is well marked and has deep color. Also presented nicely with a good coat. 3. Castlekeep Aviator (Torgersen) Handsome Blenheim dog with a nicely shaped head. He was a bit tentative today, but still moved well going around the ring as well as up and back. He will show himself off better once he gets more experience. SpL Blen D (5) 1. Ch Cinderlace Bramble at Jayba, JW (Lander) To me this dog is the epitome of Cavalier breed type. Starting with his gorgeous head, huge dark expressive eyes, correct length of muzzle and ear placement. Going into a lovely crested neck with properly laid back shoulders. His depth of chest is impressive, and he has well sprung ribs. Short in the loin, level topline. He had the strongest rear of the day with well muscled hindquarters that took him around the ring with drive. He moves and shows with such confidence holding his head up as the worthy champion he is. Top it all off with a gorgeous, gleaming deep rich coat that is beautiful without being overdone. Winners Dog, Best in Show, Best Blenheim in Show 2.
