They decided to breed her with Sue's advice and from this mating came their first showgirl Ashgate Gilbrisu. The show bug had bitten and mum bought in another bitch who was to become the kennels first champion Tammy Of Gilbri. During this time I was competing in child and junior handling classes winning my age group at Richmond and qualifying for the grand finals that year. By this time I was also showing mums dogs in breed classes. At 15 years of age I made up my first champion Gilbri Pippins Pride. Since this time we have made up a further 8 champions in the UK culminating in the breed record holder for bitches in Ch. Bellevue Town Flirt At Gilbri winner of 23cc's to date and most recently our newest champion her daughter Gilbri Town Tease at the age of 16 mobths. Also our daughter Victoria (8) is now taking up the mantle with her new puppy Gilbri Twice As Nice whom she qualified for Crufts at her first show. Hopefully the Gilbri kennel will be in good hands for years to come with her. Raymond Gaydon I started showing smooth fox Terriers & Kerry Blue Terriers in 1976 aged 16 years old whilst living with a terrier handler & his wife. Many years later showing kerries & the odd occasion an Irish Terrier or too, I then got involved with my now wife Tracy whom I'd been friends with for numerous years & then my interest & love of Westies took off. I've been lucky enough to join the Gilbri kennel co owning 4 or the 10 kennel Champions to date 3 of my biggest thrills would be owning Ch Bellevue Town Flirt At Gilbri for the great wins she has given us & her Daughter Ch Gilbri Town TEASE JW. ( my 1st home bred Champion) winning her title this year & in 2011 winning the puppy terrier group at Bath Championship show with Gilbri Royal Sapphire.
