Height Divisions Owners are responsible for entering the proper height division. Judges reserve the right to measure dogs entered in any trial. At the handler s option, dogs may be entered in a higher height division, but not in a lower than their proper height division. Dogs that run in a height division lower than their division will be eliminated. Provisional dogs must be measured by a judge. Note: It is no longer necessary to present a jump height card when entering a TDAA trial. However, it is recommended that the handler be able to produce it at the trial if requested. TDAA alows dog s handler/owner to choose the appropriate jump height for that dog. That means that all jump height exemptions based on body type do not apply as jump heights are self-selecting. Please note that dogs, including veterans, compete against dogs in the height class they measure into based on withers height. 2 score height: Restricted to dogs measuring 4" or less at the withers. 4 score height: Restricted to dogs measuring 8" or less at the withers. 8 score height: Restricted to dogs measuring 12 or less at the withers. 12 score height: Restricted to dogs measuring 16" or less at the withers. 16 score height: Restricted to dogs measuring 17 or less at the withers. Veteran dogs: A jump height exemption granted to dogs of at least 7 years of age. Veteran dogs receive an extension for Standard course times. 4" veterans receive an additional 4 seconds while 8", 12" and 16" veterans receive an additional 2 seconds. Disabled Handlers: Handlers who have been given handicap status by their home state will be granted a time exemption of 4 seconds for Standard course times and 4 seconds for Qualifying course times for time-based games classes. See TDAA rules for additional information. This additional time is in addition to any exemption given to the handler s dog due to Veteran status. Proof of disability shal be a copy of the handler s disabled parking tag or official documentation provided with the entry or presented at check-in. There will be no special system of titling for veteran dogs or for disabled handlers. Class Information Standard Classes Beginner: All dogs shall be eligible for participation in this class. There shall be no grandfathering of titles from another organization. Intermediate: Dogs that have earned the Teacup Beginner Agility Dog (TBAD) or that have satisfied the appropriate Fast Track requirement shall be eligible for participation in this class. Superior: Dogs that have earned the Teacup Intermediate Agility Dog (TIAD) or that have satisfied the appropriate Fast Track requirement shall be eligible for participation in this class. Games Classes Games I: All dogs shall be eligible for participation in this class. They may run on lead. FEO runs do not count toward TDAA titles. No treats or food allowed. FEO will have a maximum time of 1.5 times the SCT. FEO participants cannot repeat any obstacles; no training is permitted in the ring. 3

Games Class Descriptions The following are some brief descriptions of the games offered at this trial. We encourage you to enter the games classes even if they seem unfamiliar to you we are sure that you will have lots of fun! Judge s briefing on day of trial supersedes any previous briefings.the judge will provide a thorough briefing to exhibitors and hard copies of the complete rules and qualifying requirements will be available. Example briefings are available on TDAA s Web site at www.k9tdaa.com. Jumplers: Take a little bit of jumpers, add a litle bit of Gamblers shake it up and you have jumplers! The jumplers course must be run in the sequence specified by the judge. Bonuses are earned for successfully performing distance challenges. Jumplers is scored time plus faults, minus bonus. Pairs Relay: Two numbered courses will be on the field. One team will run the first course and a second team will run the second one. Handlers will exchange a baton to indicate which team is being judged. Pairs/partners will be chosen by the handlers at the trial. A drawing will be held if you are unable to find a partner while at the trial. Impossible Tunnel: This game teaches the handler to sharpen her/his movements and make clear presentations to the dog when working with tunnels. It also helps with course memorization skills. Run the sequence as numbered. The dog will be faulted for any off course. Contact Donut: the objective is to accumulate as many points as possible by running a circular course composed of tunnels and contacts in a period specified by the judge. Contact Donut is scored points, then time. The dog with the most points is the winner. Time is a tiebreaker only. Full House: The objective of Full House is to successfully accumulate required points and before the expiration of time gather the elements of the Full House: threeof-a-kind 3 single bar jumps; twosome 2 "circles" (tunnel, collapsed tunnel, or tire); Joker 1 contact. The Tournament Rules are available online at https://tdaanews.wordpress.com/tdaa-petit-prix-2012-tournament-rules/, and are hereby incorporated by reference. All dogs registered with the TDAA are eligible to enter the Qualifying round, without regard to level of competition. The Qualifying round will be judged under Superior rules for performance, using Superior rates of travel. Body type and veteran s height exemptions shal be scored with their measured height without benefit of handicapping. Exemptions for Self-declared heights wil not be recognized for play in the Petit Prix Qualifier rounds, or at the Petit Prix event itself. Fast Track Program Titles may be grandfathered from other organizations on a Fast Track basis. A dog with a higher title from another organization may move up on the same day to the next level of TDAA competition with a qualifying score but no higher than the comparable level. You must submit a copy of certificates from the organization in which the higher level title was earned for each dog. A dog eligible for Fast Tracking may only move up one class at a time and not skip over a class whether or not they met the criteria for a higher class in the first test. A dog moving up on the Fast Track will not be eligible for placement within the class that he received the qualifying score and will not earn a title or receive a title certificate for that level. Please mark the classes that apply on the Trial Entry form and submit an additional $8.00 with your entry (payable to COOL CRITTERS). Payment of this fee is no guarantee that your dog will qualify at the lower level (though he will have multiple chances at each) and is non-refundable. The Fast Track fee must be paid for this trial even if it was paid for a previous trial. 4

Notice to Exhibitors The safety of the dogs is our primary concern. By entering this trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely. All dogs must be on leash or crated at all times except when in the ring or when in designated areas, e.g., the warm-up area and the designated off leash area. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dog(s) and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dog(s) and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the show committee, be asked to leave the show site. In such case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. Food and toys are not permitted in the course area and handlers are not allowed to use whistles or other instruments or devices. Exhibitors are responsible for being at the ring gate when it is their turn to run. Exhibitors may wear shirts or insignia of their training group if they wish. At the handler s option, the dog may wear a flat (buckle or quick release) colar with or without tags or wear adornments, clothing, ties or other attachments. Choke collars, pinch collars, electric and dummy electric collars are prohibited. Unsportsmanlike conduct, including rough handling or misconduct of any kind, will result in an excusal from the ring.
