All applicable fields must be Completed legibly including the event number, date, fee paid and stakes entered. SMOKING is PROHIBITED except in your own vehicle. NO ALCHOLIC BEVERAGES will be permitted on the site. Persons exhibiting un-sportsman like conduct detrimental to AKC, this club, and Hound, or other person will be asked to leave the trial site. There will be a $5.00 fine assessed on the owner/agent of any loose hound not running in a course in progress. Or any hound causing a delay of field for more than 5 minutes The White Mountains frequently has high winds. Please be prepared to securely stake your canopy. BRING WATER AND SHADE FOR YOUR DOGSCOURSING EVENT PROGRESSION TO AKC TITLES All Hounds must be at least 12 months of age. Earn a Junior Courser (JC) title by following the lure for 600+yards under 2 judges. CHECK JC TEST on the entry form. Earn a Qualified Courser Certificate by running with another hound of the same breed (or a breed with similar running style) and coursing the lure with enthusiasm and without interruption. Earn a Senior Courser title by entering in OPEN and working towards the Senior Courser (SC) title. To earn the SC title, the hound must run with at least one other hound, and must receive qualifying scores at FOUR AKC trials under at least two different judges or judging panels. If your dog also wins a placement he will earn points towards his Field championship (see secretary if you want a point schedule) 5
When your dog has earned the SC title, he most likely will still be competing for Field Championship points. If he receives qualifying scores in 25 trials, he will earn the Master Courser (MC) title. The title of Field Champion (FC) is a prefix to a hound s name. It is earned by obtaining 15 points from the Open or Veteran stakes. Dog must win 2 first placements worth 3 or more points under two different judges or judging panels (majors). The cell phone number for emergencies on the day of show is: 928 242 6890 CONDITIONS OF ENTRY *All entries must be one year of age or older on the day of the trial. *Hounds not present at the time of roll call will be scratched after a five minute grace period. *Stakes may be split if sufficient entries are present in any one stake at the time of the draw to support more than one 5-point Major *Bitches in season and lame hounds will be excused. Entries will be refunded. *There will be a minimum $25 charge on all returned checks. *Hounds will be checked for breed disqualifications. Spayed and neutered hounds are eligible to participate. Monorchid and cryptorchid hounds are ineligible to participate. *A $5.00 fine will be assessed for any loose hound on the field that is not competing in the course in progress. *A $5.00 fine will be assessed for any hound causing a delay of field for more than 5 minutes. *Battery powered, continuous loop equipment will be used. Lures consist of white plastic. Back-up equipment will be available *AWMKC reserves the right to alter course due to field and/or weather conditions on the day of the trial. 6
*Course will be reversed for finals. run-offs and BOB. *Adequate shade and cool/drinking water should be provided by the participants *Any person may, upon reasonable complaint, be asked to leave the grounds for the Field Committee. Children MUST be under control of their parents or guardians at all times. STAKES OFFERED; OPEN: open only to hounds of eligible breed that hold an AKC Qualified Courser Certificate, ASFA or Canadian Field Championship. A copy of this certificate must be presented to host club when they enter their first AKC Open Stakes. (Copy must be sent to AKC with trial results) SPECIALS STAKE: Open to all hounds with an AKC Field Championship. VETERAN: Open only to hounds that are eligible to enter either Open or Special Stakes and are of Veteran age as determined by their Parent Breed Club.
