A collection fee of $25.00 will be added to the amount of any returned cheque. Fax entries and/or credit card payment will be accepted when accompanied by authorized VISA or MASTERCARD credit card number, expiry date and cardholder s name. 10% of total fee will be added for FAX/Credit Card entries. Customers whose charges are declined by the Bank Card Authorization Department will be assessed a service charge of $25.00 for each transaction declined. CANADIAN KENNEL CLUB SCHEDULE OF CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS SECTION 2. The schedule to be employed in the determination of the number of points to be allocated to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as follows: (*Includes the dog awarded Winners.) Dogs Competing* 1 2 3 to 5 6 to 9 10 to 12 13 or more Points Allocated* 0 1 2 3 4 5 To determine the number of championship points earned by a dog awarded Winners, total all the dogs in competition which the dog defeated, directly or indirectly, for the highest of the following official breed awards: Winners, Best of Winners, Best of Breed or Best of Opposite Sex and then consult the schedule set forth above. The system provides for additional points if a dog awarded winners also places in the Group as listed hereunder. A dog that is disqualified, dismissed, excused or ordered from the ring by the judge shall not be included in the calculation for championship points. Further section 15.1.12 {C} has been added and states the dog must: have earned at least one 2 point win either at the breed level or group level. If the dog awarded Winners is also Best of Winners, Best of Opposite Sex or BEST OF BREED, the number of championship points will depend on the total Number of dogs defeated directly or indirectly for the award. In addition to Championship points allocated at the breed level, a dog awarded Winners which also places in the regular GROUP competition shall be credited with the following additional points, provided that the dog has defeated another dog at the Group level, and that not more than 5 points will be credited to a dog for a single show. REGULAR CLASSES The following classes will be provided, divided by sex. JUNIOR PUPPY - 6 months & under 9 months on the day of the show SENIOR PUPPY- 9 months & under 12 months on the day of the show 12-18 MONTH 12 months & under 18 months on the day of the show CANADIAN BRED Dogs born in Canada. Champions of any country are excluded. BRED BY EXHIBITOR Dogs owned and handled in the ring by the breeder. The handler must be the owner/co-owner and breeder/co-breeder of the dog. The owner/breeder must handle the dog in this class, but need not handle the dog for further awards. OPEN CLASS - shall be for all Dogs. VETERANS - open to all dogs over 7 years of age and older on the day of the Specialty. The winners of the Veterans Male & Female classes will not compete for Championship points but go directly into the Best of Breed competition. Veteran dogs may be neutered or spayed. SPECIALS ONLY - This class will NOT be divided by sex. A dog may be entered for Specials Only and such dog shall compete for Best of Breed award. If eligible it must compete for the award of Best of Opposite Sex. Should a dog entered for Specials Only place in its group at the show then all awards the dog earned at the show will be canceled if, at the time of closing of entries for the show, the dog was not registered individually in the records of the Canadian Kennel Club or if the dog has not earned all the championship points required for championship status. The entry of a Listed Dog in this class is NOT allowed. NON-REGULAR CLASSES EXHIBITION ONLY - Dogs entered in this class may not compete in the regular breed classes. STUD DOG & GET - The name of the Stud Dog must be indicated on the entry form, the name of the get must also be on the entry form. The entry will consist of the dog and two of his progeny. Entry in this class need not be the property of the same owner although ALL must be entered in regular classes or Specials Only or Exhibition Only BROOD BITCH & PROGENY - The name of the Bitch must be indicated on the entry form, the name of the get must also be on the entry form. The entry will consist of the bitch and two of her progeny. Entry in this class need not be the property of the same owner although ALL must be entered in regular classes or Specials Only or Exhibition Only
GENERAL RULES GOVERNING THESE SHOWS 1. The Club reserves the right to remove any person from the show. The Show Superintendent shall have full control of the above shows and trials, which will be governed by CKC Rules. 2. Any dog excused by the Show Superintendent or the Show Veterinarian for any reason shall not, after being excused, compete in any class for any award for the balance of the show. 3. The show committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of accident, or other misfortune, to either dogs, exhibitors patrons, or equipment. 4. A Judge or any person participating in any capacity at a Dog Show held under C.K.C. rules shall not be subjected to any indignity of any kind during the progress of the show and it shall be the duty and obligation of the Club holding the show to see that this rule is effectively carried out. 5. Exhibitors are solely responsible for the conduct or actions of their animals while they are on the show grounds. 6. DOGS MUST BE READY FOR JUDGING. The club will not be responsible for and is not obligated to provide any service for notifying owners or agents of breed or class judging. The ring shall not be held up waiting for exhibitors or handlers. 7. The owner of a dog entered in these shows is entirely responsible for any error in entering his dog, regardless of how or by whom the entry was made. 8. A dog once disqualified for any reason at a championship show held under these rules cannot again be shown at a show held under these rules until the dog has been examined by an official committee appointed by the CKC and the committee finds the dog is free from the condition which prompted the disqualification. Application for reinstatement must be accompanied with a fee set by CKC which shall be forfeited to the CKC if the examining committee is satisfied that the dog should remain disqualified. All awards earned by a dog shown in violation of this rule shall be canceled by the CKC and the owner of the dog is subject to disciplinary action. 9. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. Please exercise your dog BEFORE taking it to the Judging ring. 10. No entry fee will be refunded if the Show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire an Act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the club. 11. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by the Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from completion by action of the Show Committee.
