Becky s Dog 1. Becky loved her dog, Max. He was her very best friend. He was a mixture of breeds and a mixture of colours. He had long legs, a short tail and long hair. He followed Becky everywhere. 2. When Becky took Max for a walk he was obedient and gentle unless Becky was in danger. Then he became a raging tornado. 3. One day, Becky took Max to the park across the road. It was a big, open park but Becky s mum could watch them both from the kitchen window. She also knew that her daughter would be safe as long as her faithful dog was with her. 4. Becky and Max were playing with a ball when two stray dogs came into the park. They were big and fierce and ran towards Becky. Max dropped the ball and stood in their way. 5. Unable to get to Becky they attacked Max instead.
