NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS The American Kennel Club Rules and Regulations will govern these Shows and Exhibitors must make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this Show Premium list. TRIAL REGULATIONS ENTRY INFORMATION: Entries close at 1121 S Blake Rd, Spokane Valley, WA at 5:00 pm, Wednesday, September 19, 2012. Fees must accompany entries. Canadian Exhibitors MUST make all checks and/or money orders payable in U.S. funds. All checks and money orders should be made payable to Spokane Dog Training Club and mailed to Trial Secretary, Rosie Banta, 1121 S Blake Rd, Spokane Valley, WA 99216-0625. AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB RECORDING FEE: A RECORDING FEE will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial, or Tracking Test. This Recording Fee is to be collected by the Show-giving Club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the Recording Fee is to be collected on the first entry only. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2.) No entry will be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Telephone, telegraph and unsigned entries cannot be accepted and will be returned. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side are NOT ACCEPTABLE see Obed. Reg. Chapt. 1, Section 3. The Club assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or the owner s agent, or if the dog is entered in a class in which it is not eligible to compete. THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE COMPLETENESS OF ANY ENTRY RESTS SOLELY WITH THE ENTRANT. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES or OVERPAYMENTS. The Secretary will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if the entry has been processed, no refund will be made. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show, no refund of entry fees will be made. Entry fees will be refunded for BITCHES THAT COME IN SEASON after the closing date, provided that written notice is given to the Trial Secretary PRIOR TO THE BEGINNING OF JUDGING for the day. REFUNDS for cancellations due to judge change, bitches in season or cancellations made prior to entry closing will be mailed to the Exhibitor or Agent AFTER THE TRIAL. RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY FEE. The Secretary will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitor or agent may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY basis. THIS CLUB DOES NOT AGREE TO ARBITRATE CLAIMS AS SET FORTH ON THE OFFICIAL AKC ENTRY FORM FOR THIS EVENT. JUDGING: No dogs will be allowed in the show area except those regularly entered in the Trial. DO NOT BRING ANY DOGS THAT ARE NOT ENTERED. There is no provision for unentered dogs. Judging will start promptly as specified in the entry confirmation. Dogs may arrive any time prior to their time of judging and may leave immediately thereafter, unless required for further judging. The Club will not be responsible and is not obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of class judging. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have his dog ready to be shown and at the entrance of the judging ring when the steward calls for the class; it is not the responsibility of the ring steward to locate any dog, its owner or its agent when the dog s presence is needed in the judging ring. Judges will NOT wait for any dog holding up a class. Move ups are allowed at this trial according to AKC Regulations. ACKNOWLEDGMENTS: Acknowledgments will be sent after entries close. Acknowledgment and judging program will be sent to either the mailing address on the entry OR the e-mail address on the entry. Should the exhibitor NOT receive an acknowledgment within a reasonable time please contact the Trial Secretary at (509) 768-8832. LOSS OR DAMAGE: The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors but will not be responsible for or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune to either dogs or exhibitors participating in this Trial. The welfare of an Exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children on the day of the show. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites and any communicable disease, and have appropriate vaccinations. AWARDS: Trophies and prizes will be awarded at the trial. No Award will be mailed. Go north on Mullan (one-way, becoming Argonne two-way just north of the freeway). Turn RIGHT on Montgomery. Turn LEFT on Locust (one block past the traffic light at the Yoke s Fresh Market grocery store). There is no light at Locust. Locust ends at the RR tracks; SDTC is on the right at the end of the street. Some parking is available adjacent to the club building and on the street, and parking is permitted in the lot northeast of Yoke s Fresh Market. Park in the Stroh s Fitness Center EAST lot. The SDTC parking lot does not have sufficient space for motor homes. No overnight parking is available at the show site. There is no charge for day parking.
