This area is a preserve and consists of Southern California dry lands scrub and low brush. Some trails and roads cross the area. There are trees, dirt, sandy areas and lakes in the vicinity. Expect wildlife cross tracks and possible sightings. Spectators will not be allowed on the test tracks. There is a $10.00 fee to enter the park. Please clean up after yourself and your dog! Exit at Euclid Avenue, bearing right. Follow Euclid Avenue to the park entrance. From the North: CA 60 (Pomona Freeway) to CA 71 (Chino Valley Freeway) south. Exit at Butterfield Ranch Road (Euclid Avenue). Turn right on Butterfield Ranch Road and go under the freeway. The road becomes Euclid Avenue. Follow Euclid to the park entrance. NOTE: Do not turn right at the dog training center signs. That is Prado Recreation Dog Park. The Prado Regional Park entrance is approximately 1/2 mile east of this.
Drawing of Entries Thursday, February 7th, 2019 6:30 PM PST A drawing to fill entry limits will be held at Trader Joes, 2545 Pacific Coast Highway, Torrance, CA 90505 (Crenshaw and PCH). Entrants will be notified within 48 hours and an alternates list maintained if necessary. TD Eligibility: TD entry is limited to dogs with appropriate Certification or who have previously passed a TD test. Each entry for a dog that has not previously passed an AKC TD test must be accompanied by a written statement, dated within one year of the date of the test, signed by a person approved by the AKC to judge tracking tests and must certify that the dog has satisfactorily performed a certification test. TDX Eligibility: TDX entry is limited to dogs that have previously passed a TD, TDU or TDX test. EXCHANGE OF TRACKS: If the limit for entries is not reached in either the TD or TDX test and the other is exceeded, the number of tracks offered may be exchanged on the basis of two (2) TD tracks for one (1) TDX track BREED ELIGIBILITY: Dogs must be an AKC registered purebred or a purebred in one of the following categories: Dogs registered with an AKC Limited Registration number, or dogs with a PAL (Purebred Alternative Listing) or ILP (Indefinite Listing Privilege) number. Dogs registered as AKC Canine Partners (All Americans) may also enter. The AKC LRN, PAL, ILP or CP number must be shown on the entry form. A dog approved for entry in the Miscellaneous Class at dog shows and a dog of a Foundation Stock Service recorded breed that meets the eligibility requirements for competition are eligible to compete provided their AKC identification number appears on the entry form. ENTRY DRAWING: A random drawing of all entries received by the closing date and time will be held to determine the participants in the test. The order of the draw shall be in accordance with Chapter 1, Section 13 of the Tracking Regulations. These tests are open to all AKC registered breeds of dogs as listed above, however, the draw for entries will be done for the respective tests in the following order: 1- Belgian Tervuren without a TD/TDX 2- Belgian Tervuren with a TD/TDX 3- Other purebred breeds or All Americans without a TD/TDX 4- Other purebred breeds or All Americans with a TD/TDX NOTIFICATION: alternates shall have the option of accepting or refusing the opportunity to participate in the test. In the event an accepted entry is absent on the day of the test, the first alternate entry present according to the order in which they were drawn shall assume the vacant position. Entry Information No entry fees will be refunded except the entry fee for an entry that pulls before the closing date; or an entry and/or alternate that does not participate when another alternate is present to replace him/her prior to the track draw. No entries will be accepted which require a signature for delivery. Entries will not be accepted without fee. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Test Secretary will add the fee charged by the bank to the amount of each returned check. Faxed, telephone, E-mail, and unsigned entries cannot be accepted. Entries not on an official AKC form and photocopies of entry forms without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side of the official AKC entry forms are not acceptable. No refunds for duplicate entries or errors on entry blanks. Owners are responsible for errors in filling out entry forms and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a Judge or barred from competition by action of the Tracking Committee. If because of riots, civil disturbances, or acts beyond the control of BTCSC and/or the Tracking Committee it is impossible to open or to complete the test, no refund of entry fees will be made. Bitches in season: may participate in this test in accordance with Chapter 2, Section 8 of the AKC Tracking Regulations. Entry fees and certifications shall be returned in accordance with Chapter 1, Section 12 of the AKC Tracking Regulations. 30 Day Rule: No exhibitor may show a dog under a judge at a tracking test if the exhibitor has participated in a training session taught by that judge within thirty (30) days prior to the date of the event.
