CLASSES: Agility: Classes consisting of 17-20 obstacles including jumps, tunnels, contact equipment and up to 12 weaves. No Seesaw or weaves in beginners. Jumping: Classes consisting of 17-20 obstacles excluding contact equipment. No weaves in beginners. Steeplechase: A fast flowing course consisting of jumps and pipe tunnels only. Train In The Ring: This will be an Agility course, will be the last class of the day, you will be given 60 seconds in the ring to train and reward anything you want to, Rewards can be toy, or food (non-crumbly) stride regulators or food dispensers. Beginners: These classes are intended for dogs and handlers that are eligible for Grades 1-2 according to KC rules, Nursey or Beginners UKA. There will be no weaves or seesaw in these classes. Dogs may jump one jump height lower for competition, or any jump Height - NFC, Please, specify NFC on the entry form. Suitable for dogs 16 months plus. Inter: These classes are intended for dogs and handlers that are eligible for Grades 3-5 according to KC rules, Beginners or Novice at UKA. Advance: These classes are intended for dogs and handlers that are eligible for Grades 6-7 according to KC rules, Senior or Champ at UKA. Veteran and Anysize will be ran pver the same course but separate awards are given. Veteran classes The veteran class is for dogs over 7 years of age. Heights are combined, and it is up to the owner as to which height they jump their dogs at. The veteran s class will be the same as the beginner s course but with lowered height contact equipment. Anysize classes The anysize class is open to all dogs that are unable to jump their full height or are coming back from injury. Heights are combined, and it is up to the owner as to which height they jump their dogs. Running NFC (NOT FOR COMPETITION ) We are happy for any handlers to run their dog not for competition. To be fair on the other competitors who are running their dogs we ask you not to use food in the ring (unless it s the train in the ring class) but take in a toy. SHOW RULES: By signing the declaration on the entry form you agree to abide by the following rules: 1. K9 BRATS reserves the right to refuse entries. 2. The show will close before the closing date if we have reached out capped limit of 60, entries received after the show has closed or the cap has been reached will be returned to the sender. 3. Include awards gained up to the closing date when deciding which level to enter. 4. Changes may be made to the level or height your dog is entered in after sending your entry, but only up to the qualifying date of the show. 4. If your dog wins out of the level it is entered in after you send in your entry, and up to the qualifying date for the show, you must notify us of the new level to change your dog s entry. 5. Competitors must sign and date the declaration on the entry form. One form per handler. 6. If you decide to run NFC this must be specified on your ticket. 7. If you enter Agility 2 and then want to run Train in the ring class at the show, you must let the admin know before midday on the competition day a charge of 1 will be added as this is due to 60 seconds you have in the ring. 8. Keep all dogs on lead except when competing. Handlers not cleaning up after their dogs will be asked to leave the show. Dogs under control in the exercise area please - no more than 3 dogs per handler off lead at one time. Dogs are not allowed in the cafeteria or the viewing gallery. 9. All dogs entered for competition at this show must be 16 months of age or over. 10. Puppies under 3 months of age must not be brought to the show without prior permission having been obtained. 11. Bitches in season are not allowed at the venue, including the car park and exercise area. 12. Height definitions as per page 4 of this Schedule. All dogs must be entered in their correct height. 13. Competitors are responsible for ensuring that they are available for their classes. 14. Dogs may wear a flat fabric or leather collar, without attachments (except D-ring), when competing. Dogs must not wear any other form of collar, or harness or lead or muzzle when competing. 15. Handlers must not have with them in the ring any training aids such as toys or titbits with the exception of NFC where a silent toy is permitted and Train In the ring where food (non-crumbly), toys, stride regulators and treat dispenser are allowed as this is the last class of the day. 16. Marking of faults, including contacts, to be in line with UKA Rules. 17. Judges may run their own dogs for competition during the half day that they are not scheduled for judging.
18. Any person handling their own or any other dog in a harsh manner will be asked to leave the show. The use of spray, shock, prong collars or choke chains is not permitted at all on the show ground. Anyone found using such equipment will be asked to leave the show. 19. A dog will be removed from the competition if it is: so out of control that it poses a danger to people or dogs at the show; or suffering from an infectious or contagious disease, or otherwise unfit to compete. 20. The organisers are the sole arbiters in respect of all matters and disputes at this event. 21. In the unlikely event that the competition has to be cancelled, the organisers reserve the right to deduct unrecoverable expenses incurred before returning entry fees. 22. Handlers entered for competition are permitted to bring their noncompeting dogs to the show. 23. All dogs are entered at their owner's risk. Whilst every care will be taken, The organisers will not take responsibility for the loss, damage or injury to dogs, people or property whilst at this show. 24. Competitors must follow the instructions of the Stewards with respect to parking and conduct within the show boundaries. Any person being abusive to our helpers will be asked to leave the show. 25. Goods may not be sold at the venue without prior permission. 26. At no time must any vehicle be driven at more than 5 mph anywhere on the site of the venue as it is also used by the public and has horses on site. 27. Please be respectful to show staff, judges and volunteers. 28. Dogs left in hot cars will be dealt with as seen fit by the show manager. Please take care.
