ENTRY DRAWING: At 6:00 PM Eastern, 19 September 2017, the Test Secretary will conduct a random draw of all entries at the Test Secretary s home, 7825 Water Valley Court, Springfield, VA 22153. This test is BEAGLE Preferred. Beagle entries will be drawn first, if the limit has not been reached, drawing will continue from the all other AKC registered dog entries until the limit is reached. All remaining entries will comprise the Alternate list. Alternates have the option to accept or decline being placed on the alternate list. The Test Secretary will notify all entries of the draw by e-mail/phone. ENTRY LIMIT: 4 TD and 3 TDX. EXCHANGE POLICY: If the limit for entries in each test is not reached, the number of tracks may be exchanged at 2 TD = 1 TDX, not to exceed five TDX tracks or eight TD tracks. ENTRY FEE: TD - $75.00 per entry, TDX - $125.00 per entry (Includes recording fee in accordance with AKC rules, Chapter 11, Section 2 of Dog Show Rules.) This test is Beagles preferred; Beagles without a TD title will be accepted first, followed by Beagles with a tracking title, followed by any AKC registered dogs. If your dog does not already have a tracking title, a current statement of certification must accompany each entry. ELIGIBILITY FOR TDX TEST: Beagles or any AKC recognized breeds that have earned the TD or TDU title. This test is Beagle preferred; Beagles without a TDX title will be accepted first, followed by Beagles with a TDX title, then any AKC registered dog. Fees will be refunded for those dogs not making the draw. If for any reason a dog making the draw cannot run, the fees will be refunded provided an alternate competes in their place. BITCHES IN SEASON MAY PARTICIPATE: Entrants must notify the Test Secretary that their bitch is in season prior to the drawing for tracks. Bitches in season will participate only after all other dogs have been tested. AWARDS & PRIZES: Rosettes will be awarded to all passing dogs. Those handlers and dogs marked "Passed" by the judges will be given the final article, signed by the judges, and will be issued a certificate by the AKC. A blue, embroidered tote bag will be offered to entrants who earn their TDX title, sponsored by The National Beagle Club and its supporting members. Two painted Wine Glasses will be offered to entrants who earn their TD title, sponsored by The National Beagle Club and its supporting members. DRAW FOR TD TRACKS: The draw for running order of tracks will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 7:00 AM Eastern. The draw will take place at Oatlands, specific location will be included in the judging program. The first track will be run following the draw. In the event an accepted entry is absent, the first attending alternate by the drawing will participate. DRAW FOR TDX TRACKS: The draw for running order of tracks will be at on Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 9:30 AM Eastern. The draw will take place at Oatlands, specific location will be included in the judging program. ATTENTION EXHIBITORS and SPECTATORS: All dogs MUST be on leash at all times per AKC Tracking Regulations. Visitors are welcomed to the tracking test. There is no shelter at the site Chemical toilets will be available. Do not place dog potty bags into the toilets. Oatlands Plantation is a historic site with lovely gardens and is open to the public. However, dogs are not allowed in the house or on the main grounds.
