mice 1. Start with an oval. Add a small oval for the nose. 2. Add eyes and ears with ovals and circles. 3. A curly tail and whiskers finish the mouse. A rounded rectangle makes the body. Use ovals for the legs. 4. Add whiskers and a tail. 5. Use grey and pink to color!
Rabbits 1. Start with an oval with a tiny oval inside it and toward the bottom. 2. Add pairs of ovals to make the ears. Have them tilted slightly. 3. Use ovals for the eyes and lines for the whiskers. Add a rounded triangle for the body. 4. Add 3 lines to make the legs. Two ovals make the feet. Another oval finishes the tail. 5. Rabbits are usually white, grey, black, or tan. Their ears and noses can be lighter. Play around with the ear positions and the legs for more styles of rabbits.
Hedgehog 1. Start with a large oval. 2. Add a rounded triangle shape for the head. Add tiny ears up top and a nose below. 3. Add the eye. Then add 2 pairs of legs underneath the body. 4. Add several V-shaped lines to the body poking in all directions. The more the better! 5. Hedgehogs have tan to pinkish skin. Their quills are a mix of dark browns, white, and tan. Use a variety of colors to make them look more 3D.
Sheep 1. Start with a rounded rectangle. 2. Add a trapezoid for the neck. Part of an oval does the tail. 3. Two rounded triangles make the head and the nose. 4. Use pairs of ovals for the legs. Add teardrop ears and an eye. 5. Sheep are generally light tan to grey. Their faces can be white to black, depending on the kind. Make them fluffy, especially the necks and bodies.
PIGS 1. Start with a circle and an oval. 2. Add circles in the nose and the two eyes. 3. Add ovals for ears. A circle for the body should be a little offcenter. 4. Pairs of ovals make the legs. Add a curly tail. 5. Pigs can be almost white, pink, or grey. Play around with spots, the shape of the tail and ears, and the size of them for more fun!
Horses (EASY) 1. Start with a rounded rectangle. 2. Add a triangular neck and an oval head. A rectangle on the back of the neck is for the mane. 3. Use a pentagon for the nose. Ovals do the nostrils. The eyes are circles. The ears are cutoff ovals. 4. Add rounded oval shapes for legs and a skinny tail. 5. Cows can be white with dark spots, black, or brown. Add irregular patches for spots. To make a girl cow, add the udders underneath. For a boy, you can make the horns bigger if you want. (Some types of girl cows have horns too!)
Horses (HARD) 1. Start with a lopsided oval. 2. Add two rounded triangles for the legs. Another one makes the neck. 3. Use a banana shape for the tail. The head is sort of like a figure 8. The ears and nose are teardrops. 4. Finish up with the eye, the mane (hair), and the legs. The legs are the hardest part. 5. Horses range from white and tan to black and brown. They can have spots, too. The mane and tail are usually a different color from the body.
Cows 1. Start with a rounded triangle. 2. Split that triangle into 3 pieces. Add two nose holes on the bottom. Add two eyes up top. 3. Use triangles for the horns and ovals for the ears. Add a rounded rectangle body.
Dogs 1. Start with an oval with a tiny oval inside it and toward the bottom. 2. Add sock-shaped ears poking out at different directions. The nose and eyes are easy ovals. 3. Use a tilted triangle shape for the body. The hind legs are pairs of ovals. 4. Add the banana-shaped tail. The front legs are two rectangles and two ovals. Add a tongue if you want, too! 5. Dogs come in many colors: white, yellow, grey, tan, brown, and black. Try making the ears and feet a different color. The nose can be pink or black. 5. Change the ears, the face shape, the tail length, and the hair for a different kind of dog!
Cats 1. Start with an oval with a tiny oval nose inside it. 2. Add triangle ears on top and two oval eyes near the nose. 3. Add a rounded triangle for the body and a skinny tail. 4. Legs are 3 lines and two ovals. Add whiskers and a collar if you want. 5. Cats come in a range of colors, from orange, to striped, to white and black. A black cat is pretty famous though! Try different colors and different amounts of fuzziness. 1. Start with almost the same head as above, but move the face to one side. Use a rounded oval body. 2. Make the legs with pairs of ovals and add the whiskers. Finish with the tail. 3. Color it! Add a yarn ball for fun!
Hamsters & guinea Pigs 1. Start with an oval. 2. Add oval shapes for the ears and a rounded triangle for the nose. 3. Add dark oval eyes and oval nostrils in the nose triangle. 4. Add four rounded oval feet. The back ones are only partially visible. Add a mask around the face if you want a two-color hamster. 5. Hamsters are often yellow-orange with white faces. Noses should be pink and eyes should be black. Make them fuzzy! Guinea pigs are larger and often furrier than hamsters. You might find them with stripes of black and white on their bodies. Add an oval for the body and play around with the colors to make a guinea pig.
