CITY OF NAPERVILLE Transprtatin, Engineering & Develpment (TED) Business Grup FAST TRACK CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS (COA) APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS The Transprtatin, Engineering and Develpment (TED) Business Grup has develped a fast track review prcess fr qualifying imprvements t Landmarks r Histric District structures. This prcess has been designed t expedite yur applicatin. T achieve this gal, please fllw the prcess steps utlined in this applicatin packet. T find ut if yur prject qualifies fr the Fast Track apprval, please refer t the attached infrmatinal sheet (Exhibit A). Step 1: Prepare Applicatin Materials Prepare necessary applicatin materials based n the requirements specified in the applicatin packet. Step 2: Submit Yur Applicatin Please call 630-305-5316 t talk t city staff regarding hw t submit yur applicatin. Depending n the type and scpe f the prpsed imprvement, yu may be able t submit yur applicatin via email (mattinglyg@naperville.il.us) r be required t attend a fast track meeting. A fast track meeting, if required, can be scheduled within five (5) business days frm the date f yur phne call. Step 3: Receive Fast Track Apprval Optin a: If yur applicatin is submitted electrnically via email, city staff will review yur applicatin within five (5) business days frm the date f the receipt f the applicatin. If the prject qualifies fr fast track apprval and all necessary infrmatin has been prvided, yu will receive an electrnic cpy f the apprved COA via email by the end f the five (5) business days. Optin b: If a fast track meeting is required, please bring cmpleted applicatin materials t the scheduled meeting. Yu will meet with representatives frm the City s Planning, Building and Inspectin teams wh will review yur applicatin t determine whether yur prject qualifies fr Fast Track apprval and verify that all necessary infrmatin has been prvided. Fr qualified imprvements, yu will receive the apprved COA at the end f the Fast Track Meeting. Step 4: Cmplete Yur Imprvement Please nte that yur imprvement may still require a separate building permit prir t any wrk cmmencing. Refer t the Building signature blck n Page 5 t find ut whether yu shuld apply fr a building permit as the next step. Fr imprvements that d nt require a building permit, a COA inspectin needs t be scheduled at the time f the fast track apprval. Yu may visit the Inspectin Dispatch n the 2nd flr f the Municipal Center (400 S. Eagle Street) r call 630-420-6100 (press 1 ) t schedule r reschedule an inspectin.
