Grand Champion points may be awarded to BOB, BOS and Select Dog and /or Select Bitch. All Dogs chosen for Select must be Champions of Record. NON-REGULAR CLASSES (Involving single dog entries) VETERAN DOG VETERAN BITCH For dogs or bitches 7 years old or older - Neutered Dogs and Spayed Bitches may compete in the Veterans Classes ONLY at independent Specialty Shows. Winners of these classes may compete for Best of Breed if otherwise undefeated, but are not required to. BEST PUPPY from the Regular Puppy Classes (Puppies 6-9 and 9-12 months) NON-REGULAR CLASSES (Involving multiple dog entries) Stud Dog Class: For dogs that have sired at least two dogs or bitches entered in this show. The award will be based on the merits of the get. The owner of the Stud Dog need not be the owner of the get Stud dog must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and shown in the ring with his get. Brood Bitch Class: For bitches that have whelped at least two dogs or bitches entered in this show. The award will be based on the merits of the produce. The owner of the Brood Bitch need not be the owner of the produce. Brood Bitch must be entered in the Brood Bitch Class and shown in the ring with her produce. As the decision of the judge in these classes will be based on the merits of more than one dog, no one of the dogs making up the entry judged First in this class will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won this class. EXHIBITORS PLEASE READ CAREFULLY The Doberman Club of Sacramento will be presenting two separate Specialties. The morning Specialty will be Conformation only. The Afternoon Specialty will be Puppy Sweepstakes and Conformation. The entry will be limited to 100 dogs each show. When you mark your entry form, be sure the regular classes are the same for both specialties. If your entry is for two different regular classes, you will need two separate entry forms THANK YOU 4
SWEEPSTAKES CLASSES 1. ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes shall be open to any Doberman Pinscher Puppy eligible for competition in the regular AKC classes whose age will be no less than six months and no greater than eighteen months on the day of judging. Dogs entered in the Sweepstakes must also be entered in the Regular Classes. Entry Fee is $15.00 in addition to the Regular Class entry fee. Entry in the Sweepstakes must be made at the same time and on the same entry form in the Additional Class space, stating Age Division. 2. CLASSIFICATION: Junior Dog 6-9 & 9-12 months Junior Bitch 6-9 & 9-12 months Winners will compete for Best Junior and Best of Opposite Sex Junior Senior Dog 12-15 & 15-18 months Senior Bitch 12-15 & 15-18 months Winners will compete for Best Senior and Best of Opposite Sex Senior Best Junior and Best Senior will compete for Grand Sweepstakes Winner 3. DIVISION OF STAKE: The stake shall consist of the total of all entry fees. D.P.C.S. will retain 25% for expenses and the remainder shall be divided as follows: 1st in Class 30%, 2nd in Class 20%, 3rd in Class 15%, 4th in Class 10% NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS The Doberman Pinscher Club of Sacramento has the right to refuse any entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient JUDGES WILL NOT WAIT FOR ANY DOG HOLDING UP A CLASS. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. TROPHIES MUST BE PICKED UP THE DAY OF THE SHOW. THE SHOW COMMITTEE will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of anaccident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in this show. THE WELFARE OF AN EXHIBITOR'S CHILD is to be the responsibility of the exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children during the show weekend. EXHIBITORS AND HANDLERS will be held responsible for keeping the premises clean around their crates and set-ups. NEW CHAMPIONS Any dog that finishes its championship according to the owners records may be transferred up to 30 minutes before the start of judging. DO NOT LEAVE DOGS IN CLOSED VEHICLES. Any unsupervised dog in distress may be removed from a vehicle by whatever means if necessary. By entering this show the owner, exhibitor or handler agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the Doberman Pinscher Club Of Sacramento or it s members in the event a motor vehicle must be entered to rescue a dog from overheating or suffocation due to improper ventilation.
