SPECIAL NOTICE - ALTERNATE ENTRIES In accordance with AKC Tracking Regulations, Chapter 1, Section 12, entries in this Test shall be accepted up to the official closing date, even though the advertised limit has been reached. A drawing to determine which entries will participate in the Test will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 10 th, 2011, Magnolia, Texas 77355. This drawing will be conducted by the Test Secretary and shall be completely random among all entries received, except that preference shall be given to dogs that have not earned their title. When the advertised limit has been drawn, all remaining entries, subject to the same preference set forth above, shall be similarly drawn and assigned a position on an Alternates List. If the limit for entries is not reached in one test and the limit for entries is exceeded in the other test, the number of tracks may be exchanged up to a maximum of 12 TDs or 6 TDXs. Following the draw, the Test Secretary shall promptly contact all entrants and advise them of the outcome. Alternates shall be given the option to accept or decline being placed on the alternate list. Those who accept shall be placed on the alternated list in the order in which they were drawn. Those who opt to decline shall have their entry fees (and certification) returned. Entrants and alternates who are not given the opportunity to run a track, shall have their entry fee (and certification) returned. In the event an accepted entry cancels following the closing of entries, the Test Secretary shall contact alternates according to their placement on the Alternates List. Upon such notification, alternates shall have the option of accepting or refusing the opportunity to participate in the Test. In the event an accepted entry is absent on the day of the Test, it shall be the responsibility of the Test Secretary to determine if alternates are present and to determine, by their position on the Alternates List, which of the alternates shall participate. The assignment of dogs to the tracks, by the drawing of lots, is the responsibility of the judges. LIMITATIONS ON ENTRIES Entries close Thursday, March 10th at 5:00 PM. Entries cannot be accepted, canceled or substituted after the closing date and time. Do not require a signature on Overnight, Priority, or Express Mail envelopes. Entry is limited to AKC registered dogs six months of age or older. This Test is limited to (4) TD and (4) TDX entries. Dogs NOT having earned the TD title must submit their original certification along with the official AKC entry form and entry fee to be considered for the Tracking Test. TD or TDX dogs will not be barred from competition, but dogs not having earned their Tracking titles will be given preference for entry for their TD and TDX Tests. Bitches in Season may participate provided that the Test Secretary and Judges are notified that a bitch is in season prior to the drawing for tracks. The last track to be laid shall be reserved for the bitch in season. If there is more than once bitch in season, a second draw for these bitches will be held. Entries will be acknowledged and a judging program will be mailed as soon as practical after entries close. Should acknowledgement not be received within a reasonable time, please contact the Test Secretary, Brenda Gin Joe, 713-854-1306. Entry fee shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is * absent, disqualified, excused by a veterinarian or Judge or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee or because it has been entered incorrectly. (* See paragraph 5 of Special Notice - Alternate Entries.) Entries must be made on an official American Kennel Club entry form, signed by the actual owner or duly authorized agent. Conditional, unsigned, telephone and telegraph entries cannot be accepted. There will be a $25.00 fee imposed for returned checks. All entries must be paid in full prior to showing. ALERT - Texas State Rabies Quarantine Notice The Texas Department of Health has declared the State of Texas under rabies quarantine. The State of Texas requires a yearly rabies vaccination. All dogs 3 months of age and older must have a current vaccination. Tags do NOT constitute proof. A dog without a current rabies vaccination certificate is subject to 30 days quarantine. - 9 -

In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in. over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard). 2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owner s records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class which you are entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to A.K.C. (For complete rule refer to Chapter 11, Section 3.) 5. Dogs entering mixed breed classes (eligible only in standalone Agility, Obedience, and Rally trials) should mark Breed as MIXED BREED.
