INTRODUCING OUR JUDGES Deborah Hartwig Cats NSW I have always owned a cat, I can t remember a time when I haven t. My first pedigree cat was a blue longhair in 1975, I went on to breed white longhairs, then onto the patched Persians. I have won many awards with my breeding over the years in Central and North Queensland. I entered the cat fancy in 1976, where I served in all capacities of show management, and I have held several positions in our cat club in Central Queensland over my many years of involvement with the club. I enjoy judging, it is a delight to handle so many lovely exhibits, and to constantly see the different breeds of cats exhibited Peta Sperduty Cats NSW I have always loved cats and for as long as I can remember we have had a cat or two - including a beautiful Burmese cross domestic, as pets. My introduction to the pedigree cat world was through a good friend who had a Siamese cat she used to show, so for fun, I tagged along. From there my love affair with Siamese and Orientals began. Soon after I got my first show spay, a darling Seal Tabby Point. I decided that I wanted to do more in Cat Fancy so in 2008 registered and successfully completed the Stewards Training Course. I also registered my prefix Mingyang and in October 2008 I had my first litter of Siamese / Orientals. Whilst stewarding I handled various breeds but fell in love with the Clowns of the Cat World the Devon Rex and in conjunction with a good friend and workmate, bred a few litters of these darling, funny cats. I am currently only breeding Siamese and Orientals but hope one day to come back to breeding Devons. In 2012 I had the opportunity to start the Shorthair Judges Training Course which I have now completed to gain my Probationary Shorthair Licence. Outside of the Cat Fancy I am a qualified Vet Nurse working on the beautiful mid-north Coast of New South Wales. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with friends and family, photography and collecting anything to do with frogs and cats. Shara Mackay Cats NSW I have been owned by a Siamese cat my entire life and my Mother told me that my first word was cat. With this sort of upbringing, my love for felines was inevitable and in 1999, at the age of 12 I was allowed to have my own cat; a Lilac Point Siamese spay and my show career started. My involvement in cat shows has come a long way since that first show in October 1999. In 2007 I registered my prefix Ayudha and began breeding Siamese and now I have a ventured out to breeding Siamese, Oriental, Devon Rex and even a Tonkinese litter. As an exhibitor I have had many successes with my Siamese and Orientals, winning several Best Group 2 Exhibits in show. In 2009 I realised that just being an Exhibitor was not enough for me and became a Steward. Since then I have joined several Affiliate clubs and became part of numerous Show Committees in many different roles, experiencing Show Manager for the first time in 2014. In 2015 I completed my Shorthair Judges training and am currently a Group 2 and 3 Judge. I have a Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Education from Macquarie University and work as a History/English teacher in High School, my other passion,
