My owner didn't get me spayed and when I grew older and lost my kitten cuteness, she put me outside. I got pregnant and had a litter of kittens of my own. When that happened, she rounded us all up and took us to the animal shelter. That was a few months ago and luckily, Adopt-An-ANGEL had a foster home open and took me in. My foster mom raised my kittens, got them all fixed and found them homes. Now, I am fixed too, but I am still looking for my family. I spend week after week at adoption fairs and no one even gives me a second glance. They scoop up all the kittens and I m left behind to wish them well. I pray they found better homes than I did. Hello friends. I am Bear, a handsome, loving, happy and gentle-spirited boy. I am a 60 pound Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Siberian Husky mix. My foster mom ran a DNA test on my sister. I was born 10/10/16. I am vaccinated, neutered, on heartworm prevention, and a big lover of treats. I have a lot of playful energy. I have been living in my foster home since 2/17, with three of my litter mates. I was shy and timid at first, but I have become very healthy and have more confidence now. My name is Chewbacca and I'm a Labradoodle who was found as a stray after Hurricane Matthew. When I first arrived at Carolina Poodle Rescue, I was pretty scared. I remained really quiet and just kind of watched what everyone was doing. I'm not a big fan of other dogs and there are a lot of dogs at the rescue. We are Bonnie (left) and Clyde (right). We are about 6-months-old and were brought to Carolina Beach Animal Hospital by the wonderful Jeannie Mintz with Saving Animals During Disasters. Jeannie and her non-profit have been helping out a young woman in the area who is dealing with some health issues. Her neighbors left their many cats behind and she took them in, but before all of them could be spayed and neutered, they had kittens! We are just 2 of many cats and kittens needing homes. We are a little shy, but are slowly starting to acclimate to our new surroundings and come out of our shells. We get along so well with each other, we could potentially go to a home together, or be adopted separately. We tested negative for Felv/FIV, are up to date on all our vaccinations, and have already been spayed and neutered.
