Lede Sports Fields, in the heart of Leduc, a picturesque town just minutes away from the Edmonton International Airport. Set on the shore of Telford lake, William F. Lede Park is both beautiful and functional, with lots of dog friendly areas surrounding the trial site Driving Directions 1. From Hwy 2...take Exit 517 for Alberta Highway 39 towards Drayton Valley/Leduc City Centre 2. Go East at the top of the exit (Southbound people, that s a left turn onto 50 Street / Northbound people, keep right at the fork, follow signs for Leduc and go East onto 50 Avenue 3. Lede Park will be on your right Accomodation RV PARKING ON SITE There will be RV Parking at the far end of the sports grounds. No hookups, so RVs must be self contained. DOG FRIENDLY HOTEL The Nisku Inn is an upscale hotel with a small town friendliness. Amenities include complimentary continental breakfast starting at 3:00 am, Free Wi Fi, small indoor swimming pool and fitness facility, and a large field behind the hotel where dogs can stretch their legs. Class Descriptions AGILITY / JWW / SPEEDSTAKES Open to all dogs, 18 months of age or older, time plus faults. No refusals. Off course = 5 faults. Complete rules available at dogsport.org/ccdac 3 DOG RELAY Each three dog team must consist of at least one 12" or 16" dog, and at least one 22" or 26" dog. The two dogs on the team that are in the same height category (mini/maxi) will run section A and C of the course. The dog who is in a different height category (mini/maxi) will run section B. BLACKJACK Dog/Handler teams have 40 seconds to accumulate 21 points (more than 21 points disqualifies the team). Dogs who earn less than or equal to 21 points may perform the finish jump to stop the time. Complete rules can be found at dogsport.org/ccdac 1-2-3 REPEAT Dog/Handler teams have 40 seconds to earn as many points as possible. Obstacles must be taken in order (1 point obstacle, 2 point obstacle, 3 point obstacle - repeat). Bonus box doubles the point value of obstacles taken while the handler is in the box. TUNNELERS Open to all dogs, 6 months of age or older. Time plus faults. No refusals. Off course = 5 faults. Blackjack (points + time bonus) 1-2-3 Repeat (points + time bonus) Tunnellers (60 - dog time = points) Trial Equipment Equipment available for the trial will include A-Frame, Dogwalk, Teeter, 24 Weave Poles, Broad Jump, Ascending Spread Jump, Double Bar Jump, Tire (Non Breakaway), Non Wing Single Jumps, Winged Single Jumps, Flexible Tunnels, Chute, Table, Wall Jump (Contacts are rubberized) Notice to Competitors Exhibitors, through submission of entry, acknowledge that they are knowledgeable of the rules and regulations of the Canadian Classic, including but not limited to the following: This event is held under Canadian Classic Rules and Regulations and is open to all dogs being at least 18 months of age (tunnellers class open to dogs at least 6 months), pure breed or mixed breed, aggressive dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity or illness which may affect the dog s physical or mental performance. No leads, collars, food, toys or any other aids or devices shall be permitted on the course at any time. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and / or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and / or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may be asked to leave the show grounds and NO REFUND of fees shall be given. All dogs must be penned, crated or on leash when not in the ring. All dogs must be under control when exiting the ring. Any dog engaging in aggressive or out of control behavior upon exit of the ring may be disqualified and / or required to leave the show grounds and NO REFUND of fees shall be given. Exhibitors MUST keep crate and exercise areas clean. Please clean up after yourselves and your dogs. Anyone who does not clean up after themselves or their dogs may be required to leave the show grounds and no refund will be given. There will be no refunds, cancellations or changes after the closing date, except for bitches in season or injured dogs providing the trial secretary is informed prior to the trial date and a certificate from a veterinarian is provided. Bitches in heat are allowed to compete, but must be run last in their class. Bitches in heat may also be pulled from competition for a refund.

INTERNATIONAL Handling Seminar We are very excited to have Netherlands Agility handler Wendy Willemse, for our International Handling Seminar. Wendy started agility when she was 6 years old, and she is well known for her running contacts, and her handling. She runs to win! As she says I run With lot of trust. All or nothing.. Wendy has handled 3 different dogs on the Netherlands National team at World Championships. She has also represented the Netherlands at the European Championships and the World Agility Open. She has placed first several times at WAO, and was the 2012 Biathlon Gold Medalist. Her focus is on running lines of the handler and the dog / different turns and when to use them or not to use them / and finding the right positions on course.
