THE FOLLOWING GROUNDS RULES WILL BE ENFORCED Set up of tents/equipment may not be within 15-ft of any rings. This will be enforced. There will be NO loading or unloading of crates/dogs at ring side during show hours! Loading and unloading will be at the Livestock Barn ONLY on Friday gate opens at 6:00am. Grooming will be available in the Livestock and Horse Barns. No vehicles will be allowed on the show grounds after 7:00am on Friday unless they have reserved parking. There will be NO day parking on the fairgrounds. Overnight parking will be handled by J.I.F.Y.S, PO Box 187, Boring, OR, 97009. Overnight parking is $35 per night pre-reserved. Tow vehicles are an additional $15 for the whole weekend. Checks should be made payable to OKC and mailed to J.I.F.Y.S. There will be a $25 charge for returned checks. Day parking is $5 per day. If your group wishes to park together, requests with payment made payable to OKC should be sent to J.I.F.Y.S. as soon as possible. It you plan on having more than one vehicle per spot, each additional vehicle will be charged $15.00 for the weekend and MUST fit within your assigned space. Note: There are no guarantees that your reserved parking will be inside the fairgrounds or close to your assigned ring. Layout and assignment of spaces will be handled exclusively by J.I.F.Y.S. do not contact OKC regarding parking requests. Power Outlets Use of ALL power outlets is at user s own risk. No practicing allowed in rings at any time. No dogs to be left overnight in grooming building. Each exhibitor is responsible for cleaning up after his own dog(s). Pooper-scoopers will be placed around the show grounds for your convenience. If your dog soils in the show ring, the ring steward will hold your dog while YOU do the clean up. A pooper-scooper will be placed outside each ring. Responsible dog owners will clean up after their dog(s). PARENTS SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR CHILDREN AT ALL TIMES! NO SKATEBOARDS, ROLLERBLADES, SCOOTERS OR BIKES WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE SHOW GROUNDS. Grooming and exercise pens in DESIGNATED AREAS ONLY. Crates may be brought to ringside during breed judging and must be removed immediately when judging for that breed is over. NOTICES TO ALL EXHIBITORS ENTRIES, CANCELLATIONS, CHANGES, TRANSFERS FAX ENTRIES: Fax number: 360-683-6654. $4.00 per dog per event added for FAX-Credit Card entries. Both sides of entry form must be transmitted. Entries must be accompanied by a cover sheet stating the number of pages, what shows and how many dogs per show. Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted for Fax entries. Credit card information (Credit Card number, expiration date, and cardholder name) must be on cover sheet. Note: Visa and MasterCard users You must include the 3- digit security code that appears above your signature on the back of the card. Proof of fax transmission is not proof of receipt of a legible or complete transmission (under AKC Rule Ch. 11, Sec. 4). CLUSTER OBEDIENCE TRIAL GERMAN SHORTHAIRED POINTERS & VIZSLAS CLUSTER RALLY TRIAL ENGLISH COCKER SPANIELS & VIZSLAS With the approval of the American Kennel Club, Obedience and Rally Trial classes at the OKC cluster will be consolidated to provide maximum efficiency in scheduling and judging. The Judging Program will include a complete list of breeds to be judged, and the order in which they will be judged. All Specialties in this Cluster that are offering Obedience Classes will be judged together. Each dog will be judged and individual scores recorded in the respective breed s judge s book. For the group exercises in Obedience, all breeds will be judged in one group. If there are more dogs competing than can be spaced four (4) feet per dog on one side of a ring, some must be judged in another group. The judge will divide the class into equal sections and the group exercise will be judged after each section. Following completion of group exercises, the judge will complete the judge's books for all dogs entered in each Obedience class in the respective breed s judge s book. Ribbons and awards will then be awarded by breed. Qualifying points in Obdience are based on the number of dogs in each breed only. All Specialties in this Cluster that are offering Rally Classes will be judged together. Each dog will be judged and individual scores recorded in the respective breed s judge s book. The judge will complete the judge's books for all dogs entered in each Rally class in the respective breed s judge s book. Ribbons and awards will then be awarded by breed. CATALOG ADVERTISING GUIDELINES These guidelines apply to both Black & White and Color Ads (if offered) HARD COPY ADS: All text must be typewritten or legibly printed. Photos should be photographic quality, not printed from an inkjet or bubblejet printer. ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION FORMATS: High resolution PDF (press quality) (preferred format) JPG or TIF (300 pixels/inch resolution) Word document (note, fonts may default) The following are NOT acceptable formats: PowerPoint, Works,Excel, Word Perfect, Publisher Ads MUST be built in proportion to a catalog page. Image area is 4.5 x7.25, including any border. Be aware, if you build your ad 8.5x11, it will be shrunk to fit a catalog page, and will not be in proportion to the page. If you build your ad 12 inches long on a LEGAL Word template, that will be acceptable and in proportion. It is recommended that you burn a CD of any of your electronic ads and submit that to the ad chairman for your specialty. CD should be readable in both PC and MAC format. NOTICES TO ALL EXHIBITORS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS BEST OF BREED COMPETITION The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition: dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a Championship but whose Championships are unconfirmed. The showing of dogs whose Championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a Championship according to the owners records. GRAND CHAMPION COMPETITION The following categories of dogs are entered in this competition: 1. Dogs that are Champions of Record competing in Best of Breed or Best of Variety class. 2. Dogs transferred to Best of Breed/Variety which according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a championship but whose championships are unconfirmed. 3. Champions that win Non-Regular Classes and become eligible for Best of Breed competition. (Altered or spayed CH veteran class winners at independent specialties are eligible.) 4. Winners Dog and Winners Bitch are not eligible for Grand Champion competition. At the judge s discretion, Grand Championship points may be awarded to: 1. Best of Breed or Variety 2. Best of Opposite 3. Select Dog 4. Select Bitch. Grand Champion competition will not continue beyond Best of Breed competition and in breeds that are divided into varieties, Grand Champion Competition will not continue beyond Best of Variety competition. Non-Regular Classes (Involving multiple dog entries) STUD DOG CLASS: Stud Dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their Get. The owner of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be owner of the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard for its breed. Get must be entered in a regular class, Best of Breed competition, or some other non-regular class. BROOD BITCH CLASS: Brood Bitches must be entered in the Brood Bitch Class and must be shown in the ring with their Produce. The owner of the Brood Bitch need not necessarily be owner of the Produce. While the merits of the Brood Bitch are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Brood Bitch must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard for its breed. Produce must be entered in a regular class, Best of Breed competition, or some other non-regular class. NOTE: As the judge s decision in the Stud Dog and Brood Bitch Classes is based on the merits of more than one dog/bitch, no one of the dogs/bitches making up the entry judged first in these classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won this class. BRACE CLASS: Two dogs that are similar in appearance, performing in unison, and presented by a maximum of two handlers. Both dogs competing in brace competition must have at least one common owner. The Dogs comprising a Brace MUST be named at the time of entry. In making entries for Brace Class Only full particulars MUST be given for each dog on individual entry forms. An entry form for a dog entered in a Regular Class or for Best of Breed Competition and entered as part of a Brace MUST be marked accordingly in the space provided for Additional Classes, Brace Class. If more than one Brace is entered by same owner, dogs comprising EACH BRACE must be designated Brace No. 1, Brace No. 2, etc. 4 ENTRIES CLOSE 12:00 NOON, AUGUST 4, 2010

JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION (where offered) NOTICES TO ALL EXHIBITORS NOVICE CLASS: For Boys and Girls who, at the time entries close, have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. OPEN CLASS: For Boys and Girls who, at the time entries close, have won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Novice AND OPEN Class division: Junior-9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show; Intermediate-12 years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show; Senior-15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show. NOTICE: Junior Handlers must include their AKC JUNIOR HANDLER NUMBER on each entry. You may obtain your junior identification number by calling the AKC, Judges Education Department, (919) 816-3776. BE SURE ALL INFORMATION for Junior Showmanship Classes is entered on front and back of entry form. NOTE: SUBSTITUTION OF DOG IN JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP AT THE SHOW(S): There will be an Administration Fee of $5.00 charged for any substitution of dog in Jr. Showmanship at each show. In addition, if the dog originally entered in Jr. Showmanship was an additional entry, and the dog being substituted is not otherwise entered in the show, the Jr. Showmanship Only fee applies. ROUTES TO THE SHOW FROM THE NORTH OR SOUTH ON I-5 Take the Auburn Exit (Hwy. 18).Go to Auburn and take the Enumclaw Exit to Highway 164. Follow the signs to Enumclaw (Highway 410), just before Enumclaw, turn right on 244th, go to 456th and turn left. It becomes Warner. Stay on Warner to the fairgrounds. GOING SOUTH ON I-405 OR COMING FROM THE RENTON AREA Go east on Maple Valley Highway (Highway 169), go through Black Diamond, continue on until 416th SE, turn left, then follow signs to the fairgrounds. GERMAN SHORTHAIRED POINTERS CHALLENGE TROPHIES These trophies offered through the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Washington for competition at its Annual Summer Specialty Show only. For permanent possession, these trophies must be won three times by the same owner, not necessarily with the same dog, nor at consecutive shows. The Challenge Trophies will remain with the Club they are not allowed to leave with the winners. Winners name will be engraved on each Challenge Trophy. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS ALL EVENTS The American Kennel Club Rules and Regulations will govern this Show and Exhibitors must make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this Show Premium List. Effective for all events held on and after January 1, 2008, The American Kennel Club will collect a $3.00 Event Service Fee for the first entry of a dog and a $3.00 service fee for each additional entry of the same dog in the regular and non-regular recordable single entry classes, in all AKC licensed and member club events. The current 50 cent recording fee will continue to be collected where applicable. The event-giving club shall assume the responsibility of collecting all Event Service Fees for The American Kennel Club. These event service and recording fees shall be forwarded to The American Kennel Club along with all other required event results within seven (7) days of the close of the event. CANADIAN CHECKS OR MONEY ORDERS MUST BE DRAWN ON U.S. ACCOUNTS, AND/OR MADE PAYABLE IN U.S. FUNDS No Entry will be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Telegraph, e-mail and unsigned entries cannot be accepted and will be returned. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without Agreement and Rules on reverse side are NOT ACCEPTABLE. The Club and/or Baray Events assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or the owner s agent. RESPONSIBILITY FOR COMPLETENESS OF ENTRY RESTS SOLELY WITH ENTRANT. RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY FEE. BaRay Events will add a $20.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitor or agent may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY BASIS. REFUNDS for cancellations due to judge change or cancellations made prior to entries closing will be mailed to said Exhibitor or Agent AFTER THE SHOW. An administrative fee of $5.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries. There is no refund for bitches in season in Obedience. FAX ENTRIES Fax entries will be accepted up to closing time. Fee is $4.00 per dog per show. If the credit card charge is denied for any reason, an additional service charge of $20.00 will be added. Proof of transmission is not proof of receipt of a legible or complete transmission (under AKC Rule Ch. 11, Sec. 4). Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES or OVERPAYMENTS. BaRay Events will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show NO REFUND will be made. Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Superintendent/Show Secretary will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class Judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. Only dogs eligible for these shows will be admitted into the show area. There is no provision for unentered dogs. LOSS OR DAMAGE The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. TROPHIES & PRIZES will be awarded in the ring to person exhibiting the dog. No awards will be mailed. ALL RIGHTS TO TELEVISE, VIDEOTAPE, ADVERTISE, PHOTOGRAPH, PROMOTE or otherwise exploit this event are vested in the Club, or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in writing by the Club. All persons and animals on the Show Grounds at any time while the show is in progress, do by attending this show or participating therein, grant to the Club the right to photograph, televise, videotape, audiotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent.
