The case was diagnosed as ascites concurrent with dilated cardiomyopathy and right sided congestive heart failure on account of haematobiochemical, abdominocentesis, radiographic, ultrasonographic, electrocardiographic and echocardiography examination. The dog was successfully managed with tablet Pimobendan, Carnitin, Enalpril, combination of Frusimide and Spironolactone and vitamin E. 4. The mean±se of kidney length to L- vertebrae was observed to be.67±0.09, which represent non-significant decrease in kidney size in CRF dogs as compared to healthy dogs (.78±0.0). 8. % dogs were observed with irregularly large kidney and 0.8 % dogs with decreased kidney size. It was concluded that in CRF most of the cases have no significant change in kidney size while some cases have decreased or increased kidney size. 9. The administration of hormones such as gonadotrophins, steroids and prostaglandins has yielded suboptimal results, and has potential side effects. GnRH and their agonists have shown some promise yet their administration and availability is difficult. Dopamine agonists (bromocriptine and cabergoline) are the commonly used estrus induction agents for the bitch. The different approaches for estrus induction in the bitch are mentioned in this article.
