This trial is being run under the flexible format option. The field trial committee reserves the right to rearrange the running order should conditions warrant. The Amateur Walking Derby and Amateur Gun Dog stakes are open to Vizslas only. All other stakes are open to all AKC registerable Pointing Breeds. Dogs that first qualify for Limited stakes at this trial may be allowed to enter ALGD. The FT Secretary must be notified at least one half hour before the start of the Limited Stake. Bitches in season are only eligible for entry in the AGD and OD stakes. The FT Secretary must be notified the bitch has came into season at least one-half hour prior to the beginning of the stake which the bitch is entered. The running order will be modified so that the bitch(es) in season will run in the last brace(es) for that stake. Shotguns with blank shells will not be permitted. All stakes are walking, horseback handling will not be permitted in any stake. Puppy Stakes 15 minutes, birds will NOT be released; a blank cartridge will NOT be fired in the puppy stakes. Derby Stakes 20 minutes. Gun Dog Stakes 30 minutes. AGD and OGD stakes will have callbacks for retrieving. Quail, Chucker and/or Pheasant will be released in all stakes. PRIZES Rosettes will be rewarded to all placing dogs in each stake. Prizes will be awarded to first place dogs in each stake. The Cowboy s Dream traveling trophy will be awarded to the winner of the Amateur Walking Derby stake. This is a beautiful limited edition Dannyquest sculpture. This trophy will be enjoyed by winners for many years to come. Cowboy s Dream TRIAL GROUNDS AND FACILITIES All participants are required to complete a Release of Liability and Waiver to Rocky Mountain Rooster Inc, prior to entrance to the grounds. The release from is attached as an insert to the premium and must be submitted with the entry. Indoor bathrooms facilities are available inside the club house. Dogs are not permitted inside any building at any time. Dogs are not permitted to be off leash except during the running of their brace. Please clean up after your dogs. Participant vehicles are permitted only in the designated Club House parking lot. Limited on site camping is permitted only at the west end of the clubhouse parking lot. Utility hook ups are not available. Camping may begin on Friday at 3pm. FOOD Judges will be provided with breakfast and lunch Saturday and Sunday.

DIRECTIONS TO TRIAL GROUNDS DIRECTIONS FROM DENVER: South on I-25 to the Founders Parkway Exit just north of Castle Rock. (Factory outlet store here). East on the Parkway to the intersection of Hwy 86. Continue East on Hwy 86 past the town of Kiowa (9.5 miles) and you will see a sign that points to Calhan, this is Road 77. (dirt roads from here on!) Drive South on Road 77 to the "T" intersection (6.2 miles) Turn Left on Road 94 and follow it around (1 mile) and it turns into Road 81. Continue South on Road 81 to Road 78 (4.2 miles) Turn Right on Road 78 and Rocky Mountain Roosters is at the bottom of the hill (1/4 mile, about 12 miles from Hwy 86). DIRECTIONS FROM COLORADO SPRINGS: East on Hwy 24 to Calhan. North on Calhan Highway which is one of the last streets in town. (There is a sign that points to the Airport, this is the Road!) Drive 7.5 miles, you will come off pavement and your next left will be Road 78. Turn Left on Road 78 and drive ¾ mile to the entrance of Rocky Mountain Roosters.
