Directions to Showroom From the North: Take I-5 south to I-205 south. We recommend that you travel the Oregon side of the Columbia River, since it is straighter. Take I-205 across the Columbia River into Oregon. Take I-84 East 30 miles up the gorge to Cascade Locks. Follow the signs to Cascade Locks/Bridge of the Gods (This is a toll bridge). Cross the bridge into Washington, turn right (go east 2 miles). Go into Stevenson and take your first left. Continue along road and watch for fairgrounds on left. From the South: North bound I-5 take I-205 North through Portland to I-84 East go 30 miles up the river to Cascade Locks. Cross over the Bridge of the Gods; go right (East on highway 14) 2 miles to Stevenson fairgrounds will be visible on left. Take first left, continue along road and watch for fairgrounds on left. Show Rules and Regulations 1. To win an award, the Exhibitor must be present and must participate in showmanship. This is a youth show; you must be 18 years old or younger to participate in the show and to win awards. 2. All birds exhibited must be owned by youth exhibiting them. 3. The youth exhibiting the bird is solely responsible for the care of his/her own birds. Food and water will be provided. 4. The show committee reserves the right to remove birds showing any sign of disease or parasites. 5. ALL birds entered are REQUIRED to pass a Health Check at the door before entry. (Any birds found with signs of sickness and/or parasites will not be accepted and will not be allowed to enter and will forfeit entry fees.) 6. Evidence of faking and/or cheating will result in all the exhibitor s birds being barred from competition. 7. No one will handle birds except their owners, the judge and/or a member of the show committee. 8. Late entries WILL NOT be accepted. 9. The Rockin Roosters and/or the Skamania County Fairgrounds will not be held responsible for stolen or damaged property. 10.The Rockin Roosters are not held responsible for specials and awards donated by individuals. 11. Youth Activities Poultry Showmanship The showmanship will be as follows: 9:00 am Novice - Age 1 to 8 and never done showmanship before. 9:30 am Juniors - Grades 3,4,5 10:00 am Intermediates - Grades 6,7,8 11:00 am Seniors - Grades 9,10,11,12 12:00 pm Champion of Champions Champion and Reserve Showman of each division Dress attire: White shirt/blouse and black pants or skirt. It is recommended that showmanship birds not be entered for conformation judging due to conflicting schedules. Exhibitors Raffle The Rockin Roosters will be holding an Exhibitor s Raffle. Each exhibitor will receive one ticket to put in for the item of their choice. If your name is not drawn for the item you choose your name will be put into a drawing for special selected items. Entry Information Mail entries to: Kathy Giberson, 22813 NE 92 nd Ave., Battle Ground, WA 98604. Entries must be postmarked by April 10 th, 2017. No late entries will be accepted. Chickens, Ducks, Geese and Turkeys will be accepted. All birds must have leg bands. The entry fees are $1.50 per bird, $3.00 per trio (chickens only), and $3.00 per double coop. Under Entry, specify Single, Double Coop, or Trio. Each entry must be entered in only one of the following Types: B - Bantam, LF Large Fowl, D Duck G Goose, T - Turkey Each entry must be entered in only one of the following and Sex/Age categories: C Cock a male over one year old. (Old Cock, Drake, Gander, Tom). H Hen a female over one year old. (Old Hen, Duck, Goose). K Cockerel a male under one year old. (Young Cock, Drake, Gander, Tom). P Pullet a female under one year old. (Young Hen, Goose, Duck). OT Old Trio (Chickens Only) One cock and two hens over one year old of the same breed and variety.
